Max Starks & the Home Team Thanksgiving Food Drive

Steelers offensive tackle Max Starks will host the Max Starks & the Home Team Thanksgiving Food Drive on Tuesday, November 24 at the Waterfront in Homestead, Pa. from 6-8 p.m. (located at the old location of Filene's Basement).

The food drive benefits the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank and the families it serves.

"I think it's important to do this because the name speaks for itself – it's Thanksgiving and its giving thanks," said Starks. "A way of giving thanks is helping those who are less fortunate and can't afford to fully celebrate this holiday. Any way we can help them cut costs and have a better holiday that is the biggest thing. It's always good when you can help people in the community."

Non-perishable food donations will be accepted and all making a food or monetary donation will be eligible to win prizes.

The food drive theme is a holiday meal and items such as instant mashed potatoes, canned pumpkin, cranberry sauce, gravy mix, canned yams, dessert mix and other such items are encouraged.

Steelers fans are invited to bring their donations and help out those in the Pittsburgh community
