Redman is Digest Player of Week

ISAAC REDMAN
Running Back

When Rashard Mendenhall sustained an ACL injury on the final play of the first quarter in  the regular season finale, there naturally was some concern about what that would do to the team's ability to run the football. Isaac Redman made sure it wasn't much of a factor.

Redman became the fourth undrafted running back in NFL history to rush for over 100 yards in a playoff game. He finished with 121 yards rushing on 17 carries and added another 21 on two catches for a total of 142 yards from scrimmage.

Isaac Redman is the Steelers Digest Player of the Week.

Also considered were Lawrence Timmons, who had six tackles and was a big part of a decent run defense; Emmanuel Sanders, who led the receivers with six catches for 81 yards; Shaun Suisham, who was 3-for-3 on his field goals; and the defensive line of Steve McLendon, Cameron Hayward and Ziggy Hood, who ended up playing just about every snap after Casey Hampton (knee) and Brett Keisel (groin) were knocked out of the game.
