Mendenhall loses a yard

Running back Rashard Mendenhall had his 100-yard game against the New York Jets taken away from him by Elias Sports Bureau, who does the official stats for the NFL. Mendenhall lost one yard after they reviewed the game tape, making it a 99-yard performance.

Mendenhall got the yard after the officiating crew gave the Steelers a first down on a carry by Mendenhall that was a yard short. The officials made up the yard on the next play when Ben Roethlisberger was sacked.

Through 15 games Mendenhall has three 100-yard rushing games and two 99-yard rushing games.
