Keisel expected back

Defensive end Brett Keisel, who has been battling a foot injury that had him sidelined once again vs. the Bengals on Sunday night, is expected to return to action on Sunday.

"Brett Keisel is arrow pointed up," said Tomlin. "He has been in and worked out. He may even participate in a partial capacity (on Wednesday), definitely on Thursday. We'll see where the week's preparation takes us in regards to his availability."

Nose tackle Steve McLendon is expected to return to action after sitting out the Bengals game with his ankle injury. He should practice on Wednesday, with increased participation throughout the week.

Others who were nursing injuries and are expected to be fine are tackle Kelvin Beachum (knee), receiver Jerricho Cotchery (shoulder), tackle Marcus Gilbert (ankle) and receiver Emmanuel Sanders (foot).
