2021 PITTSBURGH STEELERS "GIANT EAGLE ULTIMATE TAILGREATNESS" GRILLING CONTEST OFFICIAL RULES
ENTRIES ARE FREE OF CHARGE. ONE (1) ENTRY ALLOWED PER ELIGIBLE PERSON. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER. PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED OR OTHERWISE RESTRICTED BY LAW.
By participating in the 2021 Pittsburgh Steelers "Giant Eagle Ultimate Tailgreatness" Grilling Contest ("Contest"), you agree to these official rules ("Rules"), inclusive of all terms and conditions. Please read the Rules carefully before participating. You must follow the directions provided within these Rules to be eligible to receive the Prizes in connection with the Contest.
SPONSOR: This Contest is sponsored by Giant Eagle ("Sponsor"), 101 Kappa Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15238.
ADMINISTRATOR: This Contest is administered by Pittsburgh Steelers LLC ("Administrator"), 358 North Shore Drive, Suite 200, Pittsburgh, PA 15212.
HOW TO ENTER: The Contest will begin on September 10, 2021 at 12:00 NOON Eastern Daylight Savings Time ("EDST") and end on October 31, 2021, at 11:59 PM EDST ("Contest Period"). To enter the Contest, you must submit your original burger recipe ("Recipe") by going to https://www.steelers.com/tailgreatness, completing the online entry form, including providing your contact information and agreeing to be bound by the terms and conditions of these Rules (the "Web Entry"). Your Recipe must (i) include detailed, step-by-step preparation instructions; (ii) list each ingredient in exact common U.S. household measurements and order of use in making the Recipe; and (iii) indicate cooking/grilling times and number of servings. Those individuals submitting a completed Entry (the "Entrants") will be entered into the Contest as described in these Rules.
An Entrant may include an original photograph depicting the finished recipe ("Photo"), but a Photo is not required. All Photos must be in .jpg or .gif format and no larger than 3 megabytes in size. The Entrant must own all rights to the Photo submitted. The Photo must be original, must not include any individual other than Entrant, and must not include unlawful, threatening, libelous, defamatory, indecent, obscene, violent, vulgar, pornographic or profane material, material that violates the intellectual property, privacy or other rights of third parties, or material that otherwise violates these Rules in whole or in part. In submitting the Photo, each Entrant represents and warrants that the Photo and the information are original, that Entrant owns the rights to all the material in them, and that Sponsor's or Administrator's use of them, or any parts thereof, will not infringe upon the rights of any third party, including, without limitation, any intellectual property or privacy rights.
ALTERNATIVE METHOD OF ENTRY: Send a post card with your full name, address, email address, phone number and an original Recipe and, if so desired, Photo, based on the parameters described in the previous paragraph to: 2021 Pittsburgh Steelers "Giant Eagle Ultimate Tailgreatness" Grilling Contest, 358 North Shore Drive, Suite 200, Pittsburgh, PA 15211 ("Mail Entry", and collectively with Web Entry, "Entries").
First Cookoff Date Entry Period: Entrants may submit burger recipes beginning on September 10, 2021 at 12:00 NOON EDST and ending on October 3, 2021 at 11:59 PM EDST. The First Cookoff date is set for Sunday, October 10, 2021 ("First Cookoff Date Entry Period").
Second Cookoff Date Entry Period: Entrants may submit burger recipes beginning on September 10, 2021 at 12:00 NOON EDST and ending on October 10, 2021 at 11:59 PM EDST. All entries received during the First Cookoff Date Entry Period are eligible for the Second Cookoff Date Entry Period unless entrant participated in the cookoff. The Second Cookoff date is set for Sunday, October 17, 2021 ("Second Cookoff Date Entry Period").
Third Cookoff Date Entry Period: Entrants may submit burger recipes beginning on September 10, 2021 at 12:00 NOON EDST and ending on October 31, 2021 at 11:59 PM EDST. All entries received during the First Cookoff Date Entry Period and Second Cookoff Date Entry Period are eligible for the Third Cookoff Date Entry Period unless entrant participated in a cookoff. The Third Cookoff date is set for Sunday, November 8, 2021 ("Third Cookoff Date Entry Period").
Entries must be received by the end of the defined Contest Period. Entries that are incomplete, garbled, corrupted, or unintelligible for any reason, including by not limited to, computer or network malfunction or congestion, are void and will not be accepted.
Failure to follow and instructions provided in these Rules may result in disqualification. The time of receipt of any valid Entry shall be the time such valid Entry becomes available to Administrator. Mailed Entries shall be postmarked on or before the final day of the Contest Period to be considered. All Entrants agree that all decisions of the Administrator shall be final and binding with respect to all matters related to the Contest, and Entrants waive any right to challenge any decisions made by the Administrator and waive any right to claim any ambiguity in these Rules or an Entry. Administrator's computer shall be the official clock of the Contest.
By entering the Contest, Entrant gives express permission to be contacted by Sponsor and Administrator.
BY PROVIDING CONTACT INFORMATION, ENTRANTS CONSENT TO THE COLLECTION AND STORAGE OF THE INFORMATION PROVIDED, WHICH SHALL NOT BE ACKNOWLEDGED OR RETURNED TO ENTRANT. UNLESS ELECTING TO OPT-OUT, ENTRANTS TO THE CONTEST MAY RECEIVE MARKETING AND OTHER INFORMATION FROM SPONSOR, ADMINISTRATOR AND THEIR AFFILIATED PARTIES AND CONTRACTORS. ELIGIBILITY TO PARTICIPATE IN THE CONTEST IS NOT, HOWEVER, DEPENDENT UPON ENTRANT'S CONSENT TO RECEIVE SUCH MARKETING AND OTHER INFORMATION AND YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING ARE NOT AFFECTED BY SUCH CONSENT. CONTACT METHODS MAY INCLUDE MAILINGS, EMAILS AND TELEPHONE CALLS (INCLUDING THOSE GENERATED FROM AN AUTOMATED TELEPHONE DIALING SYSTEM) AT THE TELEPHONE NUMBER PROVIDED, INCLUDING ANY WIRELESS TELEPHONE NUMBER PROVIDED.
ELIGIBILITY: The Contest is open only to legal residents of (i) the counties of Allegheny, Armstrong, Beaver, Bedford, Blair, Butler, Cambria, Centre, Clarion, Clearfield, Elk, Fayette, Greene, Huntingdon, Indiana, Lawrence, Mercer, Somerset, Venango, Washington and Westmoreland in Pennsylvania; (ii) the counties of Brooke, Harrison, Lewis, Marion, Marshall, Monongalia, Ohio, Pleasants, Preston, Randolph, Taylor, Tyler, Upshur, Wetzel, and Wood in West Virginia; and (iii) the counties of Belmont, Columbiana, Jefferson, Monroe, and Washington in Ohio who are at least eighteen (18) years of age at the time of Entry. Notwithstanding the prior sentence, the Contest is void where prohibited or otherwise restricted by law, rule or regulation. Officers, members, managers, and employees of Sponsor Entities (defined below), members of these persons' immediate families (spouses and/or parents, children, and siblings, and their spouses, regardless of where they reside), and/or persons living in the same households as these persons (whether or not related thereto) are not eligible to enter or win the Contest. "Sponsor Entities" shall mean Sponsor, Administrator as well as their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliated companies, and agents, and any other entity involved in the development, administration, promotion, or implementation of the Contest. All selected Entrants and Winners are subject to Sponsor's and Administrator's verification of eligibility hereunder.
WINNERS AND WINNER SELECTION:
ROUND 1 INITIAL SELECTION BY ADMINISTRATOR: There will be (i) three Entries selected at the conclusion of the First Cookoff Date Entry Period; (ii) three Entries selected at the conclusion of the Second Cookoff Date Entry Period; and (iii) three Entries selected at the conclusion of the Third Cookoff Date Entry Period from the pool of eligible Entrants who have completed the required steps as of the end of the Contest Period. The Administrator shall select these three Entries in each of the Cookoff Entry Periods on adjudged quality, creativity and originality of the Recipes submitted. Those Entries selected will be subject to verification of eligibility.
ROUND 2 PANEL OF JUDGES: A panel of three judges consisting of a celebrity chef, a Sponsor representative and a former Steelers player will select one winner from the three selected Entries from the First Cookoff Date Period (the "First Cookoff Winner"), one winner from the three selected Entries from the Second Cookoff Date Period (the "Second Cookoff Winner"), and one winner from the three selected Entries from the Third Cookoff Date Period (the "Third Cookoff Winner", and collectively with the First Cookoff, Second Cookoff and Third Cookoff Winners, the "Winner(s)"). The judges will collectively determine in their sole discretion each of the Cookoff Winners based on originality, creativity and taste of the Recipes prepared. The three Entrants selected from First Cookoff Date Period will prepare and cook/grill the Recipe in their Entry for the panel of judges at Heinz Field on the morning of the Steelers home game against the Denver Broncos on Sunday, October 10, 2021 (the "Broncos Home Game"). The three Entrants selected from Second Cookoff Date Entry Period will prepare and cook/grill the recipe in their Entry for the panel of judges at Heinz Field in the evening of the Steelers home game against the Seattle Seahawks on October 17, 2021 (the "Seahawks Home Game"). The three Entrants selected from Third Cookoff Date Entry Period will prepare and cook/grill the Recipe in their Entry for the panel of judges at Heinz Field in the evening of the Steelers home game against the Chicago Bears on November 8, 2021 (the "Bears Home Game"). Each selected Entrant will need to complete a waiver and release form (the "Waiver") attached hereto as Exhibit A prior to competing on the day of each respective Home Game as described above.
FINAL ROUND: The selected Winners for each of the three Cookoffs will compete against each other for the Grand Prize (defined below). Each Cookoff Winner will prepare and cook/grill the Recipe in their Entry for the panel of judges at Heinz Field on the morning of the Steelers home game against the Detroit Lions on November 14, 2021 (the "Lions Home Game"). Each of the Final Round participants will need to complete the Waiver prior to competing on the morning of the Final Round.
Each Entrant selected to participate in any of the three rounds of competition will not be responsible for bringing any grills, cooking supplies, kitchen utensils, Recipe ingredients, etc. All such items will be provided at Sponsor's expense and retained by Sponsor at the conclusion of the Cookoff. If an Entrant's Recipe requires a unique, special or secret spice/seasoning/sauce or other ingredient ("Special Ingredient"), then such Entrant will be responsible for bringing the Special Ingredient to the competition at their sole expense. A Special Ingredient will need to be disclosed on the Recipe Entry. All other cost and expenses associated with an Entrant's participation in the competition, including travel and accommodation not otherwise indicated in these Rules, will be the sole responsibility of each Entrant.
PRIZES:
First Cookoff: The First Cookoff Winner will receive (i) two club tickets (approximate retail value ("ARV") is $263 per ticket) to the Broncos Home Game; and (ii) one autographed authentic Steelers jersey (ARV ranges from $200-$599). The other two Entrants selected for the First Cookoff will receive two tickets to the Broncos Home Game (ARV is $121 per ticket).
Second Cookoff: The Second Cookoff Winner will receive (i) two club tickets (ARV is $324 per ticket) to the Seahawks Home Game; and (ii) one autographed authentic Steelers jersey (ARV ranges from $200-$599). The other two Entrants selected for the Second Cookoff will receive two tickets to the Seahawks Home Game (ARV is $153 per ticket).
Third Cookoff: The Third Cookoff Winner will receive (i) two club tickets (ARV is $225 per ticket) to the Bears Home Game; and (ii) one autographed authentic Steelers jersey (ARV ranges from $200-$599). The other two Entrants selected for the third cookoff will receive two tickets to the Bears Home Game (ARV is $98 per ticket).
GRAND PRIZE: The Grand Prize Winner will receive (i) two club tickets (ARV is $225 per ticket) to the Lions Home Game; (ii) groceries for one year (ARV is $2,500) exclusively at Giant Eagle Grocery Stores valid from November 15, 2021 through November 15, 2022; and (iii) a trip for two to attend the Steelers away game against the Baltimore Ravens on January 9, 2022 at M&T Bank Stadium, Baltimore, Maryland (the "Ravens Away Game"). The Grand Prize Winner must be able to make his/her travel days before and after January 9, 2022. The trip package includes round trip, coach-class air transportation for two from a major airport near the Grand Prize Winner's home (determined by Administrator in its sole discretion) to Baltimore, Maryland (up to a maximum airfare of $1000 in total for two people); two nights' accommodations (one room, double occupancy) at a hotel determined by Administrator in its sole discretion (ARV of the hotel accommodations is $400); and two tickets to the Ravens Away Game (ARV is $100 per ticket). Actual value of the Grand Prize may vary based on airfare fluctuations and distance between departure and destination. At the request of the Grand Prize Winner and approval of the Administrator, the trip may be scheduled for a Steelers away game during the 2022 NFL season instead of the Ravens Away Game in January of 2022.
Total ARV of all Prizes is $9,162.
Exact Prize details to be determined in the sole discretion of Administrator. The Prizes are non-transferable and non-assignable, with no cash redemption except at Administrator's sole and absolute discretion.
All costs associated with participation in the Contest not expressly stated in these Rules, including transportation and lodging to Heinz Field, Recipe ingredients, etc. shall be the sole responsibility of each Entrant. Due to the proximity of a selected Entrant's or Winner's proximity to Heinz Field, ground transportation from the Entrant's or Winner's home to Heinz Field in Pittsburgh, PA will not be provided for, and the costs of such travel will be the sole responsibility of the selected Entrants and Winners. Administrator will not replace any lost, mutilated, or stolen tickets, travel vouchers or certificates. Administrator is not responsible if any of the Steelers Games are delayed, postponed or cancelled for any reason, in which event that portion of the Prize is forfeited in its entirety and no substitution will be provided except as in Administrator's sole discretion. Winners will not receive the difference between actual value and ARV. Odds of winning the Prizes depend on the number of eligible Entries received during the Contest Period. The Prizes are non-transferable and non-assignable, with no cash redemption except at Administrator's sole and absolute discretion.
Administrator reserves the right to substitute for the Prizes (or any portion thereof) with one of comparable or greater value at its sole and absolute discretion. Winners are fully responsible for any and all applicable Federal, state and local taxes (including income and withholding taxes). All costs and expenses associated with Prize acceptance and use not specified by these Rules as being provided are the sole responsibility of the Winners.
The Grand Prize Winner must travel on the dates surrounding the Ravens Away Game (determined by Administrator in its sole discretion) or the Grand Prize will be forfeited. At the request of the Grand Prize Winner and approval of the Administrator, the trip may be scheduled for a Steelers away game during the 2022 NFL season instead of the Ravens Away Game in January of 2022. The trip must be booked through Administrator at least ten (10) days prior to departure.
The trip is subject to availability and blackout dates. Travel must be round trip. Administrator will determine airline and flight itinerary in its sole discretion. No refund or compensation will be made in the event of the cancellation or delay of any flight. Travel and accommodations are subject to availability. Travel is subject to the terms and conditions set forth in these Rules, and those set forth by Administrator's airline carrier of choice as detailed in the passenger ticket contract. All expenses and incidental travel costs not expressly stated in the Grand Prize package description above, including, but not limited to, additional ground transportation, meals, incidentals, passenger tariffs or duties, airline fees, surcharges, airport fees, service charges or facility charges, personal charges at lodging, security fees, taxes or other expenses are the sole responsibility solely of the Grand Prize Winner. The Grand Prize Winner's travel companion must be eighteen (18) years of age or older as of the date of departure, unless the travel companion is the child of the Grand Prize Winner or a sibling of the Grand Prize Winner with the appropriate parental permissions and releases and must travel on same itinerary and at the same time as the Grand Prize Winner. Travel companion (or his/her parent or legal guardian, if applicable) must execute liability/publicity releases prior to issuance of travel documents. Travel restrictions, conditions and limitations may apply. Should the Grand Prize Winner elect to provide his/her own transportation to the Away Game, or should the Grand Prize Winner elect not to stay in the hotel arranged for by Administrator, the Grand Prize Winner will not receive any reimbursement or other cash equivalent for the cost of such travel or hotel accommodations.
NOTIFICATION: Administrator will notify the selected eligible Entrants at the telephone number (land line or cell) and/or by email provided in the Entry. Administrator will make three attempts to contact a selected eligible Entrant via telephone and/or email within 24 hours from the date on which the potential Entrant was selected. If Administrator is unable to reach a selected eligible Entrant by telephone and/or email within such 24-hour period, then that Entrant will be disqualified and an alternate Entrant's Recipe Entry will be drawn from all remaining eligible Entries. At the time of Administrator's contact with the selected eligible Entrant, the Entrant will be asked to provide his/her proof of age, and a government-issued photo ID. The notified Entrant shall be the only party eligible to participate in competition for the Prizes.
If the Entrant declines to participate in the Recipe judging events prior to Steelers Games as described above, or if the Winner declines the Prizes, fails to claim the Prizes, is unavailable for Prize fulfillment, fails to abide by the Rules, or is ineligible, Administrator may select an alternate Entrant from all remaining eligible Entries. Sponsor and Administrator are not responsible for and shall not be liable for unsuccessful efforts to notify a potential selected Entrant.
PUBLICITY RELEASE: By submission of an Entry, an Entrant grants to Sponsor, Administrator and each of their respective designees, the right to use or publicize such Entrant's name, address (city and state of residence), voice, statements, photograph and/or other likeness (and as to the Entrant who wins, the right to use of the Prize information), for advertising, promotional, trade and/or any other purpose in any media or format now known or hereafter devised, throughout the world, in perpetuity, without limitation, and without further compensation, consideration, permission or notification, unless prohibited by law.
RELEASE/WAIVER OF LIABILITY: By participating in the Contest and submitting an Entry, each Entrant agrees to (i) be bound by these Rules, including all Entry requirements, and (ii) waive any and all claims against the Sponsor Entities, the National Football League and each of its other member clubs and affiliates and each of their respective parents, affiliated companies, subsidiaries, officers, directors, employees, agents, licensees, distributors, dealers, retailers, printers, representatives and advertising and promotion agencies, and any and all other companies associated with the Sweepstake, and all of their respective officers, directors, employees, agents and representatives (collectively, "Released Parties") for any injury, damage or loss that may occur, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from the participation in the Contest or from the receipt or use of the Prizes (or any portion thereof) or any travel or activity related to the receipt or use of the Grand Prize (or any portion thereof).
*PRIVACY POLICY: *Information collected in connection with this Contest will be used in accordance with Administrator's Privacy Policy (http://www.steelers.com/legal/privacy-policy) and these Rules. In the event of any discrepancy between Administrator's Privacy Policy and these Rules, Administrator's Privacy Policy shall control and govern.
GENERAL CONDITIONS: Released Parties are not responsible for late, incomplete, illegible, inaccurate, undelivered, or garbled Recipe Entries, interrupted or unavailable network or other connections; misdirected, blocked, or delayed notifications; printing, typographical or other errors appearing within these Rules, in any Contest-related advertisements or other materials; or any other errors, problems or difficulties of any kind relating to or in connection with the Contest, including, without limitation, errors or difficulties which may occur in connection with the administration of the Contest, the processing of Entries, or the announcement of the Prizes or in any Contest-related materials. Released Parties are also not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, tampering, hacking, or by any equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Contest. Released Parties are not responsible for injury or damage to participants or to any other person's computer related to or resulting from participating in this Contest. Released Parties (i) make no warranty, guaranty or representation of any kind concerning any Prize (or any portion thereof), and (ii) disclaim any implied warranty. Sponsor's or Administrator's failure to enforce any term of these Rules shall not constitute a waiver of any such term. All disputes will be resolved under the internal substantive laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, without regard to its conflicts of laws principles, and the laws of the United States. All disputes arising out of or with respect to this Contest or these Rules shall be heard exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA.
CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY ANY INDIVIDUAL, WHETHER OR NOT AN ENTRANT, TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEBSITE ASSOCIATED WITH THIS CONTEST OR UNDERMINE THE CONTENT OR LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THIS CONTEST MAY BE A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, ADMINISTRATOR WILL DISQUALIFY ANY SUCH ENTRANT, AND ADMINISTRATOR AND/OR ITS AGENTS RESERVE THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES (INCLUDING ATTORNEYS' FEES) AND OTHER REMEDIES FROM ANY PERSON OR PERSONS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ATTEMPT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
Administrator reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel or suspend the Contest (or any portion thereof) at any time. In the event of cancellation, Administrator may elect to identify the Winners and award the Prizes by way of a drawing based on the parameters described in these Rules from among all non-suspect, eligible Entries received up to the time of such cancellation. Administrator reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to modify these Rules for clarification purposes without materially affecting the terms and conditions of the Contest. Administrator further reserves the right to revoke the Prizes or remove an Entrant or Prize Winner, at any time, if the Entrant or Prize Winner acts in a manner that is, in Administrator's sole discretion, offensive, harassing, threatening, repugnant, or violent at any time in connection with the Contest or Prizes.

Open to legal residents of designated counties in Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Ohio, who are 18 years or older at the time of Entry. Odds of winning depend on the number of valid Entries received. On my own initiative, risk and responsibility, I am voluntarily participating in a Cookoff at Heinz Field in accordance with the Official Rules of the 2021 Pittsburgh Steelers "Giant Eagle Ultimate Tailgreatness" Grilling Contest. I voluntarily assume all risks of loss, damage, or injury that may be sustained by me while participating in the Cookoff.
I, intending to be legally bound hereby for myself, my heirs, executors, administrators and assigns, waive, release, and forever discharge Pittsburgh Steelers LLC and PSSI Stadium LLC (individually and collectively, "Steelers"), Giant Eagle, the Sports & Exhibition Authority of Pittsburgh and Allegheny County, the National Football League and its member clubs, as well as their respective officers, directors, managers, shareholders, members, employees, and agents and anyone else involved directly or indirectly with the Steelers and Giant Eagle from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, costs and causes of action whatsoever, arising out of or relating to any loss, damage or injury of any nature, suffered by me in connection with the Cookoff.
If I should suffer any injury while participating in the Cookoff, I authorize the officials of the Steelers to use their discretion to treat me or to have me transported to a medical facility and I take full responsibility for this action, and I agree to hold Steelers harmless from any and all liability relating to any such treatment.
I also grant full permission to Giant Eagle and the Steelers as well as their associated/affiliated parties to use my name, likeness, image and voice, as well as any pictures or recordings of any type of me taken or made before, during or after the Cookoff for any legitimate purpose, including, without limitation, promotional and television broadcasting and similar reuse.
