Charlie Daniels to Sing National Anthem at Steelers Game

Country music sensationCharlie Danielswill help the Steelers kickoff their 2008 season by singing the national anthem at the team's home opener against the Houston Texans this Sunday, Sept. 7, at Heinz Field. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m.
 
Daniels, who was born in Wilmington, North Carolina, will also perform his hit song, "In America," at halftime of Sunday's game.
 
Daniels has enjoyed a 50-year music career in which he has scored numerous hits on the rock, country, pop and Christian charts, including his signature song, "The Devil Went Down to Georgia." He has received awards from the Country Music Association (CMA), Academy of Country Music (ACM), TNN/Music City Awards and the Gospel Music Association (GMA) among his many accolades.
 
The Charlie Daniels Band's current Blue Hat/Koch Records CD release, Deuces, is his first duet album and features numerous celebrity guest artists.
