Carter recorded four tackles and two interceptions, one returned 32 yards for a touchdown, in the Steelers' 31 - 0 win over the Cleveland Browns.
Carter was selected from among five finalists by voters on NFL.com/gmc. The other finalists weredefensive endCHRIS CLEMONS of the Philadelphia Eagles, cornerbackANDRÉ GOODMAN of the Miami Dolphins, defensive endJARVIS GREEN of the New England Patriots and safetyED REED of the Baltimore Ravens.
After the regular season, five players will be nominated for GMC Sierra Defensive Player of the Year honors. Fans can vote for the winner on NFL.com/gmc throughout the month of January.
