Brown named AFC Offensive Player of the Month

Steelers wide receiverAntonio Brown was named AFC Offensive Player of the Month for December, it was announced today.

Brown registered 33 receptions for 440 yards (13.3 avg.) with two touchdowns to help lead the Steelers to a 4-0 record in the final month of the regular season. He finished as the league leader in receptions (129) and receiving yards (1,698) and his 13 receiving touchdowns tied for second – all new single season team records.

This marks the first time Brown has been named AFC Offensive Player of the Month. He is he first Steelers player to earn the honor since Ben Roethlisberger was named AFC Offensive Player of the Month in November of 2013.

Earlier today, Brown was named AFC Special Teams Player of the Week for Week 17 after recording a 71-yard punt return for a touchdown last week vs. Cincinnati.
