Bell ruled out for game vs. Ravens

The Steelers have ruled Le'Veon Bell out of tomorrow's AFC Wild Card Playoff Game vs. the Baltimore Ravens.

Bell, the Steelers MVP and the second-leading rusher in the NFL this season, sustained a hyper-extended knee in the AFC North-clinching victory over the Cincinnati Bengals last Sunday night at Heinz Field.

There was no structural damage to the knee, but Bell still was unable to practice at all this week.

As possible replacements at running back, the Steelers have rookie Josh Harris, who had served as Bell's backup since been brought up from the practice squad on Nov. 18 after the team released LeGarrette Blount; veteran Ben Tate, signed early this week as insurance; and rookie Dri Archer, the team's third-round pick in the 2014 NFL Draft.
