Steelers fan Justin Karolski never knew going to the Steelers-Ravens game in Week 18, a game that decided the AFC North, would have been such a unique experience for him.
An experience of a lifetime to be exact.
Karolski, who is a technology teacher at North Allegheny High School in the Pittsburgh area, was sitting in the North end zone anxiously awaiting the result of Ravens' kicker Tyler Loop's potential game-winning field goal attempt.
When the 44-yard field goal went wide right, the ball hit off the seat behind him and right into his arms.
It was a memory he will hold onto for a lifetime.
And on Saturday, he had another memory of a lifetime as he was invited to be the guest of the Steelers to watch practice at the UPMC Rooney Sports Complex along with family members.
Karolski received a tour of the practice facility, watched practice, and afterwards met players and coaches.
"This was such a cool opportunity," said Karolski. "As a lifelong Steelers fan and having so many memories of the Steelers, the fact that they care this much about the fans is amazing."
