Kickoff & Rib Festival:
Heinz Field management announced today a change to the Labor Day entertainment schedule at the Annual Coors Light Kickoff & Rib Festival, Sept. 2-6 at Heinz Field.
Labor Day performer, Uncle Kracker, will not be performing on Monday, Sept. 6, due to a death in the family. He will be replaced by Big Machine Records superstars Steel Magnolia. Monday's opening act will take stage at 4 p.m. followed by Steel Magnolia at 5:30 p.m. All other Rib Fest events and activities will continue as originally scheduled.
Following is a list of activities scheduled at Rib Fest throughout Labor Day Weekend:
- Friday September 3: Free concert by The Clarks.
- Saturday, September 4: Join in the Steelers 5k Run and Walk in the morning. Saturday Night will feature a free HOMECOMING concert by Butler Native Bret Michaels.
- Sunday, September 5: Free concert by country Superstars Little Big Town.
- Labor Day Monday, September 6: An afternoon full of activities including a free concert by Steel Magnolia.Â

The Steelers and Heinz Field are inviting fans to celebrate the start of the 2010 football season at the Annual Coors Light Kickoff and Rib Festival, Sept. 2 – 6 at Heinz Field. The Festival is the longest running and largest event of its kind in Pittsburgh.
Football, food and fun will highlight the weekend that will feature a Steelers game, world-renowned rib vendors, free concerts by national music artists and much more. The event is open from noon to midnight Thursday, Sept. 2 through Sunday, Sept. 5, and from noon to 7 p.m. on Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 6. Concerts begin at 7:30 p.m. Friday through Sunday and at 4 p.m. on Monday.
The Steelers will play their final preseason game when they host the Carolina Panthers at 7:30 p.m. at Heinz Field on Thursday, Sept. 2. Fans without tickets can enjoy the festival along Art Rooney Avenue throughout the game.
Friday's concert will feature The Clarks. Saturday morning, fans can cheer on runners who participate in the Annual Steelers 5K Race and Fitness Walk through the North Shore, followed by a Saturday night homecoming concert by Butler native and Celebrity Apprentice winner Bret Michaels. Sunday night's concert features country music superstars Little Big Town. Monday afternoon's activities conclude with a 4:30 p.m. concert by Steel Magnolia.
