Previous Mock Drafts Mock Draft 1.0 | Mock Draft 2.0 | Mock Draft 3.0
Williamson's Pick: Travon Walker, EDGE, Georgia
Analysis: Walker's traits, especially his length and extreme athleticism, are just too appealing to Jacksonville and after much contemplation, the Jags make Walker the first pick overall.
Dale's Pick: Travon Walker, EDGE, Georgia
Analysis: Walker is a very good run defender right now. He's still developing as a pass rusher. His athletic profile strongly suggests that will come.
Prisuta's Pick: Travon Walker, EDGE, Georgia (No change from previous Mock Draft)
Analysis: Offensive line is presumably still a consideration. But with Cam Robinson back why not grab the best defensive player in the draft?
Williamson's Pick: Aiden Hutchinson, EDGE, Michigan
Analysis: The Lions are thrilled to keep Hutchinson in the state of Michigan. He is their kind of guy and should bring much-needed pass-rush help to this rebuilding team.
Dale's Pick: Aidan Hutchinson, EDGE, Michigan
Analysis: The Lions would love for things to fall this way. They get a leader and a local player to help pump up the fan base.
Prisuta's Pick: Malik Willis, QB, Liberty (No change from previous Mock Draft)
Analysis: The Lions have five of the first 97 selections, they have a bridge QB in place in Jared Goff and Willis can contribute as a specialty-package/situational QB while he develops into a franchise QB.
Williamson's Pick: Evan Neal, OT, Alabama
Analysis: Houston could go a lot of directions with the third pick. In this case, two edge rushers are already off the board so the Texans take a safe route with Neal, who would immediately grab one of Houston's starting offensive line spots.
Dale's Pick: Ikem Ekwonu, OT, N.C. State
Analysis: The Texans could use everything and grabbing a talented young offensive tackle is a good place to start.
Prisuta's Pick: Ahmad Gardner, CB, Cincinnati
Analysis: Lovie Smith has seemingly already identified the position: "We can't play the type of football we want to play until we get better at the cornerback position," he's said out loud. Gardner is the consensus best of the bunch on the corner.
Williamson's Pick: Sauce Gardner, CB, Cincinnati
Analysis: New York is ecstatic to grab the top cornerback in this draft. Gardner has an enticing combination of height, length, and coverage skills and fills a position of need for the Jets.
Dale's Pick: Kayvon Thibodeaux, EDGE, Oregon
Analysis: Thibodeaux likes the spotlight. He also likes to hit quarterbacks. What better place is there than New York to check off both boxes?
Prisuta's Pick: Evan Neal, OT, Alabama
Analysis: The Jets get their pick of the offensive linemen available. They get a guy who started at guard and both tackles at Alabama.
Williamson's Pick: Ikem Ekwonu, OT, North Carolina State (No change from previous Mock Draft)
Analysis: Ekwonu is an old school mauler that would immediately upgrade the Giants rushing attack. He is a throwback to the Giants teams of old.
Dale's Pick: Evan Neal, OT, Alabama
Analysis: The Giants can certainly use a plug-and-play starter on their offensive line. Neal is that.
Prisuta's Pick: Ikem Ekwonu, OT, N.C. State
Analysis: A little nasty headed to the Big Apple. Make that a lot of nasty, actually. Daniel Jones' life gets easier.
Williamson's Pick: Malik Willis, QB, Liberty
Analysis: Kenny Pickett is more pro ready than Willis, but Carolina decides to bet on Willis' extreme talent instead. The Panthers could employ a package just for Willis as he learns the finer points of the position and could still be in the market for a veteran like Baker Mayfield or Jimmy Garoppolo.
Dale's Pick: Charles Cross, OT, Mississippi State
Analysis: The Panthers could go quarterback here. But something tells me they'll simply trade for a starter, instead.
Prisuta's Pick: Kenny Pickett, QB, Pitt (No change from previous Mock Draft)
Analysis: Sam Darnold is still in the picture, but Cam Newton and P.J. Walker started a combined six games at QB for the Panthers last season. Matt Rhule needs an option at quarterback and Pickett would provide one sooner rather than later.
Williamson's Pick: Kayvon Thibodeaux, EDGE, Oregon
Analysis: After already grabbing possibly the best offensive lineman in this draft, the Giants turn to defense and enhance their edge pass-rush with Thibodeaux.
Dale's Pick: Ahmad Gardner, CB, Cincinnati
Analysis: A pretty good haul for the Giants, who get a masher at offensive tackle and a potential shutdown cornerback.
Prisuta's Pick: Aidan Hutchinson, EDGE, Michigan
Analysis: If he doesn't go first overall, as many have suggested, Hutchinson won't make it past one of the Giants' two first-round selections. He might not make it past the first of the Lions' two first-round selections at second overall.
Williamson's Pick: Drake London, WR, USC
Analysis: After Calvin Ridley's suspension, Atlanta's wide receiver room is really hurting right now. London would team with Kyle Pitts to give this passing game two huge building blocks for Marcus Mariota or a quarterback to be named later.
Dale's Pick: Garrett Wilson, WR, Ohio State
Analysis: The Falcons have long been a team built around their wide receivers. They don't currently have one on their roster who is much of a threat.
Prisuta's Pick: Garrett Wilson, WR, Ohio State
Analysis: The Falcons get their pick from an outstanding wide receiver class. It all comes down to personal preference at that point.
Williamson's Pick: Jermaine Johnson, EDGE, Florida State
Analysis: Seattle could consider a quarterback like Pickett, but instead grab an excellent prospect in Johnson. He does it all coming off the edge and would really help Seattle's pass-rush.
Dale's Pick: Derek Stingley Jr., CB, LSU
Analysis: Pete Carroll is a defensive backs coach at heart. This pick would be right in his wheelhouse.
Prisuta's Pick: Kayvon Thibodeaux, EDGE, Oregon
Analysis: There are some questions regarding Thibodeaux, but not many when he's healthy. Pete Carroll will get it. It's a Pacific Northwest thing.
Williamson's Pick: Garrett Wilson, WR, Ohio State
Analysis: The Jets have been rumored to have wide receiver interest pretty much this entire offseason. There are a few defensive backs on the board that would warrant this pick, but New York already added Gardner in this scenario.
Dale's Pick: Drake London, WR, USC
Analysis: London is big and physical in a draft class that is lacking in wide receivers like him.
Prisuta's Pick: Drake London, WR, USC
Analysis: London decided to let his tape do the talking rather than run a 40-yard dash for NFL evaluators. It's not a decision that's going to cost London much in the long run, if at all.
Williamson's Pick: Kyle Hamilton, S, Notre Dame
Analysis: Washington is very happy to see Hamilton fall all the way to the 11th overall pick. There is a strong case to be made that he is the best prospect in this entire draft regardless of position.
Dale's Pick: Malik Willis, QB, Liberty
Analysis: Washington's defense is solid. But the Commanders didn't give up much to get Carson Wentz and can always trade him when Willis is ready to play.
Prisuta's Pick: Kyle Hamilton, S, Notre Dame
Analysis: There will be a temptation to go linebacker here. But Hamilton will be too good for Ron Rivera to pass here.
Williamson's Pick: Derek Stingley, CB, LSU
Analysis: Much like the Hamilton pick, Stingley falling to 12 is probably the best-case scenario for the Vikings. They pounce on Stingley without a moment's hesitation.
Dale's Pick: Jermaine Johnson, EDGE, Florida State
Analysis: The Vikings could go cornerback here, but an edge rusher to pair with Danielle Hunter also makes sense.
Prisuta's Pick: Derek Stingley Jr., CB. LSU
Analysis: Gardner may be the consensus best of the bunch at the position. But Stingley, when healthy, smothered Ja'Marr Chase in practice a couple of years ago in Baton Rogue. It's on tape.
Williamson's Pick: Trent McDuffie, CB, Washington (No change from previous Mock Draft)
Analysis: With a little run here on defensive backs, the Texans grab an ideal fit for Lovie Smith's Cover 2 scheme. With his toughness and passion for the game, McDuffie is a great guy to rebuild a secondary around.
Dale's Pick: Kyle Hamilton, S, Notre Dame
Analysis: Hamilton is a talented, massive safety who can be the quarterback of the Houston defense.
Prisuta's Pick: Charles Cross, OT, Mississippi State (No change from previous Mock Draft)
Analysis: After grabbing the best cornerback available, the Texans get one of the top offensive tackles. Cross held up at left tackle against the best edge rushers the SEC had to offer. Houston won't have a problem with that.
Williamson's Pick: Jordan Davis, DT, Georgia
Analysis: Going back for years, Baltimore has had a massive power player in the middle of their defensive line. Davis is more than just a space eater and could be the Ravens next Haloti Ngata.
Dale's Pick: Jordan Davis, DT, Georgia (No change from previous Mock Draft)
Analysis: The Ravens like big run pluggers in the middle of their defense even if they don't necessarily rush the passer well. They'll blitz their way to the quarterback.
Prisuta's Pick: Trevor Penning, OT, Northern Iowa (No change from previous Mock Draft)
Analysis: Penning wanted to fight everybody at the Senior Bowl. Sounds like he's ready to "Play Like a Raven" already (tough, competitive, physical, relentless).
Williamson's Pick: Jameson Williams, WR, Alabama
Analysis: It isn't ideal for Philadelphia to wait for Williams to heal from his ACL injury, but they had great success drafting a wide receiver out of Alabama in the first round last year. If it weren't for the injury, Williams would be the best wide out in this draft.
Dale's Pick: Jameson Williams, WR, Alabama
Analysis: The Eagles could use an athletic, speedy wide receiver like Williams and can afford to wait for Williams to heal from an ACL injury.
Prisuta's Pick: Jameson Williams, WR, Alabama
Analysis: If the Eagles are all-in on Jalen Hurts, it's time to make a commitment. The road from Tuscaloosa to South Philly apparently includes an express lane.
Williamson's Pick: Charles Cross, OT, Mississippi State
Analysis: It is somewhat amazing that Cross falls this far. But the Saints sure are not complaining. With Terron Armstead leaving for Miami, the Saints have a real need at left tackle. Cross fits in perfectly.
Dale's Pick: Chris Olave, WR, Ohio State
Analysis: That the Saints need to upgrade their wide receiver position is no secret to anyone who watched them play in 2021.
Prisuta's Pick: Chris Olave, WR, Ohio State
Analysis: There's not much difference between Olave and Wilson, his Buckeyes teammate a season ago. Olave may be a little smoother. He'll make it look easy in the Big Easy.
Williamson's Pick: Trevor Penning, OT, Northern Iowa (No change from previous Mock Draft)
Analysis: Los Angeles has done a lot to improve this offseason and look like they could be a real force in the AFC. Adding a right tackle could be the last piece of a championship puzzle.
Dale's Pick: Trevor Penning, OT, Northern Iowa (No change from previous Mock Draft)
Analysis: The Chargers were weak at RT last season. Penning is anything but weak.
Prisuta's Pick: Jordan Davis, DT, Georgia (No change from previous Mock Draft)
Analysis: The Chargers had problems against the run a season ago. Once they draft Davis such issues will be a distant memory. Problem identified, problem solved.
Williamson's Pick: Devin Lloyd, LB, Utah
Analysis: History shows us that the Eagles don't use first round picks on off the ball linebackers, but Philadelphia has a wealth of picks this year and decides to take their favorite linebacker in Lloyd, who can bring an awful lot to any defense.
Dale's Pick: Devin Lloyd, LB, Utah
Analysis: The Eagles haven't taken a linebacker in the first round in decades. Lloyd is exactly what they need.
Prisuta's Pick: Trent McDuffie, CB, Washington
Analysis: The Eagles will get great value here while also addressing a need. McDuffie is versatile and smart and projects as a plug-and-play addition to the secondary.
Williamson's Pick: Treylon Burks, WR, Arkansas
Analysis: Many think that New Orleans made their trade with the Eagles to draft a quarterback and surely, they would consider Pickett here if this is how the draft unfolded. But New Orleans is an aggressive organization that lives for today and they also gave both Jameis Winston and Andy Dalton money in free agency. Burks helps them win now.
Dale's Pick: Kenny Pickett, QB, Pitt
Analysis: Yes, the Saints re-signed Jameis Winston and added Andy Dalton. But both could be short-term fixes. Pickett gives them a potential QB of the future.
Prisuta's Pick: Dax Hill, S, Michigan
Analysis: The Saints have gotten thinner in the secondary since last season ended. With Olave secured at No. 16 overall, they can add Hill with enthusiasm. One of the best DBs available should in turn realize his stated goal of becoming an NFL starter next season.
Williamson's Pick: Dax Hill, S, Michigan
Analysis: Hill is listed here as a safety and is very capable playing in the box or well away from the line of scrimmage. But Hill is really just an all-around defensive back that would potentially take over slot duties, especially against bigger wide receivers or tight ends and could possibly even align as an outside cornerback. Hill is a rare athlete for the safety position.
Dale's Pick: Dax Hill, S, Michigan
Analysis: Hill can play the slot, deep safety and in the box. He can cover wide receivers and tight ends. This is all about the Steelers making the defense one of the best in the league.
Prisuta's Pick: Devin Lloyd, LB, Utah (No change from previous Mock Draft)
Analysis: The Steelers have added Myles Jack at the position, but as they've discovered in recent seasons you can't have enough of these guys. They'll jump on a player with Top 10 value at No. 20 overall.
Williamson's Pick: Nakobe Dean, LB, Georgia
Analysis: The Patriots usually prefer heavier powerful linebackers. But they also covet leaders like Dean with great diagnostic skills. He could be the new quarterback of Bill Belichick's defense.
Dale's Pick: Trent McDuffie, CB, Washington
Analysis: The Patriots have built their defense around strong cornerback play in recent years. McDuffie is smart, tough and fast. He'll fit right into their defense.
Prisuta's Pick: Jermaine Johnson II, EDGE, Florida State
Analysis: Johnson thinks he's the best defensive player in the draft, so he's not lacking in confidence. The Pats are in position to let the first round play out and still get impact and value at a position of need if they choose to play it that way.
Williamson's Pick: Jahan Dotson, WR, Penn State
Analysis: The Packers absolutely must come away from this draft with a top wide receiver prospect. Dotson fits that bill and plays much bigger than his measurables suggest.
Dale's Pick: George Karlaftis, EDGE, Purdue
Analysis: The Packers could use a wide receiver, but they also need an edge rusher. And so they can't pass on Karlaftis here.
Prisuta's Pick: Treylon Burks, WR, Arkansas (No change from previous Mock Draft)
Analysis: If you have to go through Deebo Samuel and San Francisco to get to the Super Bowl, why not enlist the services of the projected next Deebo Samuel in an effort to get there? Aaron Rodgers, presumably, would approve.
Williamson's Pick: George Karlaftis, EDGE, Purdue
Analysis: Arizona lost Chandler Jones to the Raiders and look to the draft for his replacement. Karlaftis is a power player with an attitude.
Dale's Pick: Andrew Booth Jr., CB, Clemson
Analysis: The Cardinals add a talented, young cornerback to continue building what is an underrated defense.
Prisuta's Pick: George Karlaftis, EDGE, Purdue
Analysis: Karlaftis can play the edge or rush from inside, and he still has upside. His work ethic is such that he reportedly got an apartment next to Purdue's football facility so he could spend all of his time there.
Williamson's Pick: Zion Johnson, OG, Boston College
Analysis: Over the years, Dallas hasn't been bashful at all about using early draft picks on their offensive line. They lost two starters up front this offseason and some of their line stars are aging. Johnson would be a welcome addition.
Dale's Pick: Tyler Linderbaum, C, Iowa
Analysis: The Cowboys' once-proud offensive line is getting long in tooth. Linderbaum is a young building block.
Prisuta's Pick: Zion Johnson, OG, Boston College
Analysis: One of the fastest risers in the pre-draft process, Johnson might factor in at tackle, guard or center. He'll play well wherever he plays, and sooner rather than later.
Williamson's Pick: Andrew Booth, CB, Clemson
Analysis: With Levi Wallace now in Pittsburgh, the Bills have a hole at cornerback. Booth has great traits and could be an excellent long-term answer at a key position opposite Tre'Davious White.
Dale's Pick: Kaiir Elam, CB, Florida
Analysis: After losing Levi Wallace, the Bills could really use a starter opposite Tre'Davious White.
Prisuta's Pick: Andrew Booth Jr., CB, Clemson (No change from previous Mock Draft)
Analysis: Booth isn't a finished product, but he's already established himself as a physical tackler and a corner capable of playing the ball. An aggressive secondary gets better in Buffalo.
Williamson's Pick: Kenny Pickett, QB, Pitt
Analysis: This might come as a big surprise, but when you unpeel the layers, drafting a quarterback in the first round makes perfect sense for the Titans. Here is why: Ryan Tannehill turns 34 years old in July and is making a ton of money. Tannehill could lead the Titans this year and then turn things over to Pickett, giving Tennessee great salary cap relief and a much younger signal caller.
Dale's Pick: Devonte Wyatt, DT, Georgia
Analysis: The Titans could be a surprise spot for a quarterback. But Mike Vrabel is a defensive guy. And another defensive tackle makes sense.
Prisuta's Pick: Kenyon Green, OG, Texas A&M
Analysis: He can play four of the five offensive line positions and he has a lower half that's a power generator. Sounds like Mike Vrabel's kind of player.
Williamson's Pick: Devonte Wyatt, DT, Georgia
Analysis: The Bucs are in it to win it with Tom Brady returning for another potential Super Bowl run. Wyatt is an overaged prospect, but Tampa needs his interior impact from Day 1.
Dale's Pick: Zion Johnson, G, Boston College
Analysis: The Bucs could use a ready-to-play guard and Johnson is that.
Prisuta's Pick: Devonte Wyatt, DT, Georgia
Analysis: Wyatt isn't as highly regarded as Davis, his Georgia teammate in the trenches. But Wyatt might be better than everybody else available at the position.
Williamson's Pick: Bernhard Raimann, OT, Central Michigan (No change from previous Mock Draft)
Analysis: The Packers might even consider doubling up on wide receivers in the first round, but instead, they grab an offensive tackle that could play very early and help keep Aaron Rodgers upright.
Dale's Pick: Jahan Dotson, WR, Penn State
Analysis: Aaron Rodgers will love adding a speedy, good route runner such as Dotson.
Prisuta's Pick: Bernhard Raimann, OT, Central Michigan (No change from previous Mock Draft)
Analysis: Lots of options here after the Packers get the wide receiver they need at No. 22 overall. Some reinforcing for the offensive line would make sense, for the coming season and for down the road.
Williamson's Pick: Skyy Moore, WR, Western Michigan
Analysis: Wide receivers went quick, and the Chiefs really need one with Tyreek Hill now in Miami. Moore could be used all over the formation and has what Kansas City looks for at this position.
Dale's Pick: Trevor Jones, DT, Connecticut
Analysis: Jones could provide immediate help as a run stopper in Kansas City's defense and has some pass rushing ability, as well.
Prisuta's Pick: Jahan Dotson, WR, Penn State
Analysis: Dotson has looked like a fit for the Chiefs all along. He'll be an even better fit for a Chiefs team that no longer employs Tyreek Hill.
Williamson's Pick: David Ojabo, EDGE, Michigan
Analysis: Ojabo might miss the entire season with his Achilles injury. But how often do the Chiefs have the opportunity to add a great edge rusher in the draft? Even if Ojabo doesn't play this season, Kansas City still gets him for the next four years.
Dale's Pick: Lewis Cine, S, Georgia
Analysis: Jones and Cine would be big additions for Kansas City's defense. Cine is a future team captain.
Prisuta's Pick: Arnold Ebiketie, EDGE, Penn State
Analysis: The Chiefs do a little one-stop shopping in Happy Valley and take care of both sides of the ball with back-to-back first-round picks. Ebiketie confirmed his value in Indianapolis and will bring some versatility to Kansas City.
Williamson's Pick: Kaiir Elam, CB, Florida (No change from previous Mock Draft)
Analysis: The Bengals did a nice job of upgrading their offensive line in free agency. Their draft history indicates that they like to invest early picks at cornerback and Elam has all the tools you look for at the position.
Dale's Pick: Nakobe Dean, LB, Georgia
Analysis: The Bengals can go in a number of directions here, but Dean being available is too good to pass up.
Prisuta's Pick: Tyler Linderbaum, C, Iowa
Analysis: The Bengals have been working on their offensive line since last season ended. There's work yet to be done for the NFL runner-up.
Williamson's Pick: Desmond Ridder, QB, Cincinnati
Analysis: The Lions were thrilled to land Hutchinson with the second overall pick and now hope to be getting their long-term answer at quarterback in Ridder who wouldn't be forced into immediate action with Jared Goff still on board.
Dale's Pick: Desmond Ridder, QB, Cincinnati
Analysis: The Lions add a talented young quarterback that they don't have to push into a starting role right away after getting Hutchinson with their first pick.
Prisuta's Pick: Kenneth Walker III, RB, Michigan State
Analysis: Willis would provide situational contributions, presumably, if he's Detroit's first first-round selection. Walker could then do for the Lions what Najee Harris did for the Steelers as a rookie (minus the volume of passing-game contributions) from the bottom end of the first round.
