• As a senior in high school, was switched to quarterback; offense still operated under a rush-first mentality, using him as a duel-threat weapon
• As a result, set a Western North Carolina record for most TDs responsible for (63) and ran for 51 TDs, added 11 passing TDs and even caught a TD pass
