Time to pick the next Hall of Honor class

There is no doubt you have heard their names.

They are the best of the best who have been a part of the Steelers organization, from players, to coaches, to contributors, they have all had an impact that has been felt on and off the field.

Since its inception in 2017, 41 individuals have been chosen for the Hall of Honor in four years. The first class included Steelers who were members of the Pro Football Hall of Fame at that time, and since then all other Hall of Famers have been included in the classes.

The Class of 2020, which is comprised of James Farrior, Greg Lloyd, Troy Polamalu, Mike Wagner and Dwight White, have yet to be 'formally inducted' because of the pandemic, but still have their rightful spot in the Hall of Honor.

Now, though, it's time to think about who will comprise the Hall of Honor Class of 2021. And you can let your thoughts be known.

Fans have the opportunity to share who they think should make up the newest class and can submit their nomination now through April 9. You can select a former player, coach or contributor, with the following guidelines:

Former players must be retired for at least three seasons and have played for the team for at least three seasons, while possessing noteworthy career highlights, records and achievements.

Former coaches and contributors must have been significant contributors to the team.

Anyone who submits a nomination is automatically entered to win a trip to Pittsburgh for the 2021 Hall of Honor weekend, which includes the induction ceremony and Steelers home game that weekend. The winner will also receive a $1,000 gift card to spend at the Steelers Pro Shop.

Everyone who enters will also have exclusive access to a presale of tickets for the 2021 Hall of Honor Induction Ceremony.

Think about the best of the best and nominate who you think should be a member of the Hall of Honor Class of 2021.
