For High School and Youth Coaches

The Pittsburgh Steelers will host an event to provide proper athlete training and safety on Saturday, May 7 at Heinz Field. The clinic will be held from 8:30 a.m.- 1 p.m. in the East Club Lounge at Heinz Field.

The event is designed to provide information and demonstration to high school and youth coaches in strength training, conditioning, diet and nutrition. Product demonstrations and a trade show will also be held in conjunction with the event.

Free parking next to Heinz Field. The cost for the clinic is $35 per coach and includes dinner and a Steelers Strength & Conditioning shirt. Interested coaches can register for the clinic by clicking on Clinic Registration or by calling 412-697-7713. For more details, click on Clinic Information.

This is a clinic for high school and youth coaches to improve their ability to train young athletes through weight training, conditioning, proper diet and nutrition, and techniques.  The clinic will begin with a light dinner and trade show, and will feature guest speakers and equipment demonstrations.

One of the reasons for hosting this event is because many times in high schools around the area, the "strength coach" is not a trained professional.  Most times it is a coach or teacher at the school, who is there to supervise - not train the athletes.  In addition, youth coaches will benefit from proper stretching and conditioning information and demonstrations.   This clinic will provide the proper building blocks for athlete training for all levels.

Speakers to include Steelers Strength & Conditioning staff Garrett Giemont and Marcel Pastoor and other prominent experts in the field.
