Getting To Know: Keion Adams

Keion Adams Linebacker Western Michigan Rookie Who is your football mentor or inspiration?
I would have to say Lawrence Taylor. Just his aggressiveness, the way he played the linebacker position. His pass rush ability. He was known as the outside linebacker to really start pass rushing from the position. Just watching his game, and him being from North Carolina, I kind of took to him and watched his game.

What motivates you? **

My mom. The way she has taken care of me. All of the struggles she has been through. She never complained about anything. I just want to give her back anything I can possibly give her. I just want to make her proud.  * What is your approach to football?*

Be aggressive. Be a dog. Make smart decisions. Make smart decisions and just play fast.

Why do you play football?
It's a love and a passion that I developed since I was a child. It was a sport that gave me a feeling that no other sport did. Nothing else gave me that feeling outside of family.
When did you start to dream about playing in the NFL?

In my little league days. Watching my dad, watching guys in the NFL, playing Madden. I knew I always wanted to play the game. I knew I wanted to be on television like those guys making big plays.
What is your proudest football moment or memory?

Going from being a 1-11 team and being the most hated team in college football to winning a MAC Championship and being 13-0. Just being around the team then and how we grew and developed. * When you hear Steelers, what do you think?*

Dynasty, culture, legacy and championships. Black and gold. Everything. Success.* *
