The Steelers will be minus a few starters, as tackle Marcus Gilbert and safety Mike Mitchell are both inactive for today's game against the Ravens at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore.
Gilbert suffered a hamstring injury against the Vikings in Week 2, and missed last Sunday's game against the Bears.
With Gilbert out of the lineup, the Steelers will likely look to Chris Hubbard once again to fill the void, someone Coach Mike Tomlin recently said he felt comfortable having in there.
"I'm extremely confident in his abilities, whether it's the multiple offensive line positions that he plays, right and left tackle," said Tomlin. "He's also center-capable. You've seen that already this preseason, and obviously the work that he does for us as a situational tight end, it's just good to have a versatile guy like Hubb available to us."
Mitchell is battling a hamstring injury, and didn't practice on Wednesday, and was limited on Thursday and Friday. The Steelers traded for J.J. Wilcox before the start of the season, and he is likely to replace Mitchell at free safety.
Linebacker William Gay, who missed practice on Friday with an illness, is inactive, as is receiver Eli Rogers. Rogers struggled last week in the punt return game, with a fumble that was recovered by the Bears and eventually led to a touchdown. With Rogers inactive, Justin Hunter will be active for the first time this season. Hunter signed with the Steelers as an unrestricted free agent this offseason.
Also inactive today is quarterback Joshua Dobbs, tackle Jerald Hawkins and nose tackle Vince Williams
Two key players will be active today, though. Stephon Tuitt, who hasn't seen action since the Browns game after suffering a biceps injury, and T.J. Watt, who missed last week's game with a hamstring injury, are both active.
