Jaquan Brisker, who is from the Pittsburgh area, spent the last four years with the Chicago Bears after they drafted him in the second round of the 2022 NFL Draft. Brisker has started all 52 games he appeared in. He has 342 career tackles, 214 solo stops, 12 tackles for a loss, 21 passes defensed, seven sacks, four interceptions, four forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries.
Last season, Brisker finished tied for second on the team with 93 tackles, including 52 solo stops. He had an interception, eight passes defensed and a tackle for a loss.
Brisker started five games in 2024, but missed the remainder of the season on the Reserve/Injured List. He finished the year with 40 tackles, 23 solo stops, three tackles for a loss, and a sack in the first five works of the season. In Week 4, he joined Roquan Smith (2022) as the only Bears defenders since at least 1948 to register double-digit tackles, a sack and an interception in a single game. He also secured the win that week against the Rams with an interception.
In 2023, Brisker started all 15 games he appeared in. He finished the year with 105 tackles, 66 solo stops, with nine passes defensed, two forced fumbles, an interception and a sack. He recorded at least five tackles in 13 games during the season. During the Bears Week 7 game against the Raiders, he led the Bears with 10 tackles and finished fifth in passes defensed. In a Week 13 game against the Detroit Lions, Brisker finished with a career-high 17 tackles, including 13 solo stops, which were the most by a Bears defensive back in a single game since 1970.
Brisker made an impact for the Bears right out of the gate, starting in his first NFL game in a Week 1 victory against the San Francisco 49ers. He finished with four solo tackles, had a tackle for a loss and a fumble recovery.
In Week 2 he played every defensive snap, finishing with 10 tackles, including seven solo stops. He then tied for third in tackles against the Houston Texans one week later with six tackles.
He finished the season with 104 tackles, 74 solo stops, both which were ranked second on the team. He also had four sacks, an interception, five tackles for a loss, two passes defensed, a fumble recovery and a forced fumble. He ranked third in the NFL among rookies in solo tackles.
Brisker played college football at Penn State where he appeared in 34 games, starting 21. He finished his college career with 153 tackles, including 86 solo stops, 10 tackles for a loss, five interceptions, 19 passes defensed and a fumble recovery.
He is originally from Wilkinsburg, Pa., just outside of Pittsburgh, and attended Gateway High School, playing in the WPIAL.
