Tony Hills 1st Annual Amazing Race

Tony Hills inaugural Amazing Race was a success.  The adventurous afternoon event, modeled after the popular reality show, was held on Oct. 17. Teams of three or four walked or ran a mile long course and did eight tasks along the race route. Tasks included golf, field goal kicking, ACT questions, and tire relays, to name a few.

The first place team, Team Victory (Mike Shuck, Matt Shuck, Brian Kneger, Justin Allen), battled an international field of contenders: Team Powerhouse, Team Awesome, Fu Knows Who, Go Bananas, Team Steel, Stanley Cup Champs, Chicago Steelers, Fanny Smack,  Team O, Raccoon Marriott, and Team Momich.  And the winner walked away with the prize of 16 tickets to a Steelers game.

"I was thrilled with the turnout and the spirit of the participants," said Hills. "They all had a blast.  We are definitely doing this again next year."

Funds raised from the RACE will go towards Tony Hills Adopt-A-High School Academic Initiative, which offers academic and SAT/ACT assistance to underserved students in area schools.  Visit www.TonyHills.org
