Steelers, Heinz Field and Uber announce partnership

PITTSBURGH – The Pittsburgh Steelers and Heinz Field Management today announced a partnership with Uber, creating a dedicated Uber pick up/drop off area at Heinz Field. The Uber pick up/drop off area will begin with this week's Steelers' 2016 home opener vs. the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday, September 18.

The dedicated location at Reedsdale Street will provide guests with an exclusive pick up/drop off area for all Steelers home games, University of Pittsburgh home games and other events at the stadium.

"The Steelers are excited to partner with Uber for the upcoming season," said Ryan Huzjak, Steelers Vice President Sales & Marketing. "Improving guest experience at Heinz Field and collaborating with companies that are investing in Pittsburgh are among our top priorities, and this partnership fits the bill on both fronts."

The Uber pick up/drop off area, located at Reedsdale Street on the North Shore, will accommodate 30-plus Uber vehicles at one time. Directional signage will be positioned at Gates A, B and C to direct guests to the location. Additionally, Uber will provide ride sharing promotional offers for the 200-plus events booked at Heinz Field on non-game days.

"We're proud to team up with the Steelers and help make sure fans have a safe, affordable way to get to Heinz Field," said Jennifer Krusius, General Manager of Uber Pittsburgh. "And for those looking to arrive in style, try out the new UberPREMIUM for a more luxurious ride. Go Steelers!!"
