Steelers announce home opener activities

The Steelers will host the Kansas City Chiefs in their 2018 regular-season home opener at Heinz Field on Sunday, September 16. Kickoff for the Week Two home opener is 1 p.m.

Two days prior, the Steelers Kickoff Concert Series, presented by UPMC and PNC, will take place on Friday, September 14, at Stage AE Outdoors. This year's concert is headlined by Kip Moore, featuring special guests The Wild Feathers and Jameson Rodgers.

Tickets for the Steelers Kickoff Concert went on sale this morning at 10 a.m. through Ticketmaster. On show day, gates at Stage AE Outdoors will open at 6 p.m.

The Ryder Cup trophy, captured by the United States in the most recent Ryder Cup match in 2016, will be at Heinz Field for the Steelers 2018 home opener. Ryder Cup captain and Steelers season ticket holder, Jim Furyk, will lead the Terrible Towel Twirl prior to kickoff.
