The Steelers signed rookie running back Abou Toure to their practice squad on Tuesday.
Toure was signed by the Indianapolis Colts in May after the undrafted free agent made an impact during the team's rookie minicamp when he was brought in for a tryout. He was waived by the Colts on Aug. 31.
Toure, 6-2, 230 pounds, bounced around in college, playing at Valley Forge Military College in 2010, Dean Junior College in 2011, Utah State in 2012 and the University of Tennessee Martin (UT Martin) for the 2013 and 2014 seasons. He rushed for 1,647 yards and 10 touchdown in his two seasons at UT Martin, including 1,138 yards his senior year.
