Player of the Week

Smith-Schuster is Digest Player of the Week

JUJU SMITH-SCHUSTER
Wide Receiver

DENVER – Not only did JuJu Smith-Schuster come into the game as the holder of the record for the longest touchdown catch in franchise history, but before today's game vs. the Denver Broncos had ended, he had matched it. Smith-Schuster caught 13 passes for 189 yards and that 97-yard touchdown in the Steelers' 24-17 loss to the Broncos. His 13 receptions, the second 10-plus catch game of his career, matched the total he had on Sept. 16 vs. Kansas City.

Smith-Schuster is the Steelers Digest Player of the Week.

Also considered were Chuks Okorafor, who made his first NFL start at right tackle and did a credible job vs. the Broncos outside pass-rushing duo of Von Miller and Bradley Chubb. That pair came into the game with a combined 19 sacks, with Miller leading the way with 10, but neither player had much success this afternoon. Miller had one-half sack and Chubb had none; Miller had the one hit on the quarterback that went along with his sack, and Chubb had none; Jordan Berry, who had a 42.3-yard net average on three punts, with two inside the 20-yard line; Javon Hargrave, who had four tackles and split a sack with Cam Heyward, who added three tackles; and Vince Williams, who finished with three tackles, including one for a loss, plus a sack and two hits on the quarterback.
