• Prepped at Daingerfield (Texas) High School as a two-way player at both receiver and safety. He earned 2015 Honorable Mention Class 3A All-State honors after logging 31 receptions for 721 yards (23.3 avg.) and 10 touchdowns, in addition to recording 24 rushes for 256 yards (10.7 avg.) and five touchdowns.
• 2015 Class 3A 200-meter State Champion with a time of 21.30 seconds.
