2025: McRee, a high-potential redshirt senior, returns as an experienced tight end in 2025.

2024: McRee saw action in 10 games (all but Wisconsin, Minnesota and Penn State) with 9 starts as a redshirt junior in 2024. McRee recorded 24 receptions for 245 yards (10.2 avg.).

He tallied 5 receptions for 56 yards (11.2 avg.) versus Louisiana State and 4 catches for 81 yards (20.25 avg.) against Utah State. He recorded 3 catches for -3 yards at Michigan (-1.0 avg.). He notched 4 receptions for 35 yards (8.8 avg.) against Maryland and 1 catch for 14 yards versus Rutgers. He collected 3 catches for 15 yards (5.0 avg.) against Washington and 1 catch for 9 yards against Nebraska. He recorded 2 catches for 36 yards (18.0 avg.) at UCLA and 1 reception for 2 yards against Notre Dame. McRee was named a All-Big Ten Honorable Mention.

2023: McRee saw action in 12 games (all but the Holiday Bowl against Louisville due to a lower body injury) with 4 starts as a redshirt sophomore in 2023. He recorded 26 catches for 262 yards (10.1 avg.) and scored 1 TD.

He had 3 receptions for 36 yards (12.0 avg.) against San Jose State. He recorded 1 catch for 10 yards versus Nevada. He tallied 4 receptions for 29 yards (7.3 avg.) with 1 TD against Stanford. He collected 1 catch for 2 yards versus Arizona State. He notched 2 receptions for 19 yards (9.5 avg.) versus Colorado. He had 1 catch for 21 yards against Notre Dame. He collected 3 receptions for 35 yards (11.7 avg.) versus Utah. He recorded 4 catches for 71 yards (17.8 avg.) against California. He tallied 4 catches for 22 yards (5.5 avg.) versus Washington. He had 1 catch for no gain against Oregon. He recorded 2 receptions for 17 yards (8.5 avg.) against UCLA.

2022: McRee saw action in 13 games (all but Arizona State) with 2 starts (Stanford and Fresno State) as a redshirt freshman in 2022. He caught 10 passes for 106 yards (10.6 avg) with a long of 31 yards and scored 2 TDs.

He had 1 catch for 9 yards against Rice and had 2 catches for 13 yards with a 5-yard TD at Stanford. He had 1 catch for 8 yards against Fresno State and had 1 catch for 4 yards at Oregon State. He had 1 catch for a 2-yard TD against California and had 1 catch for 18 yards against Colorado. He had 2 catches for 37 yards against Notre Dame and 1 catch for 15 yards in the Pac-12 Championship against Utah.

2021:   McRee, who enrolled at USC in the spring of 2021 after graduating a semester early from high school, saw key playing time at tight end and on special teams while appearing in 4 late-season games (Arizona, Arizona State, UCLA, BYU) and starting once (UCLA) as a first-year freshman in 2021.  Overall, in 2021, he had 7 receptions for 91 yards (13.0 avg).  He had a 9-yard reception against Arizona, 2 catches for 19 yards versus UCLA and had 4 catches for 63 yards and also caught a 2-point conversion pass against BYU. 

HIGH SCHOOL:  He made 2020 PrepStar All-Midlands as a senior tight end at Lake Travis (Tex.) High, when he had 14 receptions for 178 yards (12.7 avg) with 1 TD and added 3 carries for 11 yards (3.7 avg) with a TD. 

He missed his 2019 junior season with a knee injury.

As a 2018 sophomore, he caught 17 passes for 274 yards (16.1 avg) with 2 TDs and also completed a 22-yard pass and had a 3-yard run.

He also played basketball at Lake Travis.

PERSONAL: He earned his bachelor's degree in Communication in the fall of 2024. He is currently pursuing a master's degree in Gerontology.
