LATROBE, Pa. —The Steelers announced they have signed their 2008 second-round draft pick, wide receiver Limas Sweed, to a four-year deal. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Sweed (6-4, 212), out of Texas, was the 53rd overall selection in the 2008 NFL Draft. He ranked sixth in Longhorns' annals with 124 career receptions and finished fifth on the school's career record list with 1,915 yards receiving.

Sweed tied the Texas school record with 12 touchdown catches in 2006 and his 20 career receiving touchdowns rank second in Longhorns history.

Prior to missing the second half of his senior season with a wrist injury, Sweed had 19 catches for 306 yards with three touchdowns. As a junior, Sweed earned All-Big Twelve first-team honors after posting 46 catches for 801 yards (17.4) with 12 touchdowns.

The signing of Sweed means the Steelers have signed all seven of their 2008 NFL Draft picks in time for the opening of training camp.
