Number of seasons RB DeAngelo Williams played for the Carolina Panthers prior to signing with the Steelers during the offseason. Williams was originally drafted by the Panthers in the first round (27th overall) of the 2006 NFL Draft. In nine seasons with Carolina (2006-14), Williams stands as the Panthers all-time leader in rushing attempts (1,432), rushing yards (6,846), rushing touchdowns (46) and 100-yard games (18).
Thursday night's game will mark the 13th consecutive year that the Steelers and Panthers have square off in the preseason finale. The Steelers and Panthers have played one another in a total of 16 preseason games overall. The Steelers lead the overall preseason series with the Panthers 10-6.

Goodwin, running back Braylon Heard, defensive end Joe Kruger, defensive tackle Joe Okafor, offensive lineman Colin Rahrig, cornerback Jordan Sullen, offensive tackle Kevin Whimpey and safety Ian Wild.
