OFFICIAL RULES
ENTRIES ARE FREE OF CHARGE. ONE ENTRY ALLOWED PER ELIGIBLE PERSON PER CONTEST. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER. ODDS OF WINNING DEPEND UPON THE NUMBER OF ELIGIBLE ENTRIES RECEIVED BY ADMINISTRATOR. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED OR OTHERWISE RESTRICTED BY LAW.
CONTEST(S) DETAILS: The Pittsburgh Steelers YinzChat 2024 NFL Draft Challenge Contests Brought to You by UPMC®** (individually, a "Contest" and collectively, the "Contests**") will begin at:
- 3:00 A.M. EDST on April 23, 2024 until 2:55 A.M. EDST on April 24, 2024;
- 3:00 A.M. EDST on April 24, 2024 until 2:55 A.M. EDST on April 25, 2024;
- 3:00 A.M. EDST on April 25, 2024 until 8:00 P.M. EDST on April 25, 2024;
- 3:00 A.M. EDST on April 26, 2024 until 7:00 P.M. EDST on April 26, 2024; and
- 3:00 A.M. EDST on April 27, 2024 until 12:00 P.M. EDST on April 27, 2024 (each, a "Contest Period").
Each Contest will require a participant ("Entrant") to answer no less than six (6) multiple-choice trivia and/or predictive questions. Each correct answer will be assigned a point value (as determined by Administrator in its sole discretion) that results in an individual leaderboard ranking (as determined by Administrator in its sole discretion) during the 2024 NFL Draft. The Contest Entrant with the most points (as decided by Administrator in its sole discretion) at the end of each Contest Period will win a Steelers autographed item (as selected by Administrator in its sole discretion). In the case of a tie, a winner will be randomly selected from those Entrants who are tied for the lead for that Contest Period. The Contest(s) Entrant with the most number of points on the leaderboard as of April , 2024 (as decided by Administrator in its sole discretion) will win a 2024 Steelers home opener ("*Home Opener*") VIP Experience. In the case of a tie, a winner will be randomly selected from those Entrants who are tied for the lead as of April, 2024.
By participating in one or more of the Contests you agree to these official rules ("Rules"), inclusive of all terms and conditions. Please read the Rules carefully before participating. You must follow the directions provided within these Rules to be eligible to receive any prizes in connection with the Contest(s).
SPONSOR/ADMINISTRATOR: The Contest(s) are sponsored by UPMC®** ("Sponsor"), and administered by Pittsburgh Steelers LLC, 100 Art Rooney Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15212 ("Steelers" or "Administrator**").
HOW TO ENTER: To enter a Contest, you must (a) download the Steelers official mobile app and create your fan profile or, if you already have a fan profile, just sign in; (b) establish a group chat within the Steelers official mobile app's YinzChat feature; (c) answer the Steelers trivia and/or predictive questions; and (d) agree to be bound by the terms and conditions of these Rules (a "Contest Entry").
All Entrants agree that all decisions of Sponsor and/or Administrator shall be final and binding with respect to all matters related to the Contest(s). Entrants waive any right to challenge any decisions made by Sponsor and/or Administrator and/or claim any ambiguity in the Rules, any Contest, or any Contest Entry.
ALTERNATIVE METHOD OF ENTRY: Send a letter or post card, postmarked by the date of the applicable Contest Period, which includes your full name, age, mailing address, email address, phone number, and answers to the provided Steelers trivia and/or predictive questions, to Steelers Nation Unite, 358 North Shore Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15212. By completing and sending the mail-in entry, you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions of these Rules (the "Mail-In Entry", and collectively with an Email Entry, an "Entry").
Entries, regardless of the method of Entry, must be received or postmarked by the end of each Contest Period. Limit of ONE (1), AND ONLY ONE (1), ENTRY PER PERSON PER CONTEST. Multiple entries received from any person beyond this limit may void all such additional entries. Entries that are incomplete, garbled, corrupted, or unintelligible for any reason, including, but not limited to, computer or network malfunction or congestion, are void and will not be accepted.
Failure to follow any instructions provided in these Rules may result in disqualification. All materials submitted become the property of Sponsor and/or Administrator, and Entries will not be acknowledged or returned. You are responsible for your costs of entering, including online access charges, etc. The time of receipt of any valid Entry shall be the time such valid Entry becomes available to Administrator. Administrator's computer shall be the official clock of the Contest(s).
By entering the Contest(s), an Entrant gives express permission to be contacted by Sponsor and/or Administrator.
BY PROVIDING CONTACT INFORMATION, ENTRANTS CONSENT TO THE COLLECTION AND STORAGE OF THE INFORMATION PROVIDED. UNLESS THEY ELECT TO OPT-OUT, ENTRANTS TO THE CONTESTS MAY RECEIVE MARKETING AND OTHER PROMOTIONAL INFORMATION FROM SPONSOR, ADMINISTRATOR AND/OR THEIR AFFILIATED PARTIES AND CONTRACTORS. ELIGIBILITY TO PARTICIPATE IN THE CONTESTS ARE NOT, HOWEVER, DEPENDENT UPON ENTRANT'S CONSENT TO RECEIVE SUCH MARKETING AND OTHER PROMOTIONAL INFORMATION AND YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING ARE NOT AFFECTED BY SUCH CONSENT. BY PROVIDING CONTACT INFORMATION AND NOT ELECTING TO OPT OUT, ENTRANTS CONSENT TO BEING CONTACTED BY SPONSOR, ADMINISTRATOR, THEIR AFFILIATED PARTIES OR PARTNERS, AND CONTRACTORS. CONTACT METHODS MAY INCLUDE MAILINGS, EMAILS AND TELEPHONE CALLS (INCLUDING THOSE GENERATED FROM AN AUTOMATED TELEPHONE DIALING SYSTEM) AT THE TELEPHONE NUMBER PROVIDED, INCLUDING ANY WIRELESS TELEPHONE NUMBER PROVIDED.
ELIGIBILITY: The Contests are open to (a) legal residents of the fifty (50) United States of America and the District of Columbia who are eighteen (18) years of age or older at the time of entry; and (b) legal residents of Mexico who are eighteen (18) years of age or older at the time of entry. Notwithstanding the prior sentence, the Contests are void where prohibited or restricted by law, rule or regulation. Winners will not receive any reimbursement or other cash equivalent. Sponsor and Administrator are not responsible if the 2024 NFL Draft and/or the Home Opener is delayed, postponed or cancelled for any reason and no prizes will be awarded if the 2024 NFL Draft and/or the Home Opener is delayed, postponed or cancelled except in the sole discretion of Administrator. Officers, members, managers, and employees of Sponsor Entities (as defined below), members of these persons' immediate families (spouses and/or parents, children, and siblings, and their spouses, regardless of where they reside), and/or persons living in the same households as these persons (whether or not related thereto) are not eligible to enter or win the Contests. "Sponsor Entities" shall mean Sponsor, Administrator, the National Football League ("NFL"), and each of their respective parents, subsidiaries, and affiliate companies; administrative, advertising, and promotion agencies involved with the Contests; and any other person or entity involved in the development, administration, promotion, or implementation of the Contests. The NFL is not, however, an actual Sponsor or Administrator of the Contests.
WINNERS: There will be a total of five (5) winners ("Winner(s)") selected within five (5) business days of the conclusion of the 2024 NFL Draft. One (1) Winner of each Contest will be chosen from the pool of eligible Entrants who have completed the required steps as of the end of each Contest Period. In the case of a tie, a Winner will be randomly selected from those Entrants who are tied for the lead for that Contest Period. Winning is subject to verification of eligibility.
PRIZES: There will be five (5) prizes (each a "Prize") awarded. The Winners of each Contest Period shall receive one of the following Steelers autographed items (as selected by Administrator in its sole discretion): (i) a Minkah Fitzpatrick mini-helmet (Approximate Retail Value ("ARV") of $150); (ii) a Cam Heyward football (ARV $200); (iii) a T.J. Watt football (ARV $200); (iv) a George Pickens football (ARV $200); or (v) a Joey Porter Jr. mini-helmet (ARV $150). The Winners will be determined and selected in the sole and absolute discretion of Administrator.
GRAND PRIZE WINNER:The Contest(s) Entrant with the most number of points on the leaderboard as of April 28, 2024 (as decided by Administrator in its sole discretion) will receive (i) a Home Opener VIP Experience; and (ii) a full-sized Steelers helmet autographed by the Steelers' first pick of the 2024 NFL Draft (ARV $475) (collectively, the "Grand Prize"). The Home Opener VIP Experience includes (i) round trip, coach-class air transportation for two (2) from a major airport near the Winner's home (as determined by Administrator in its sole discretion) to Pittsburgh, PA (up to a maximum airfare of $1600, in total, for up to two people); (ii) two nights' accommodations (one room, double occupancy) at a hotel determined by Administrator in its sole discretion (ARV $500); and (iii) two tickets to the Steelers Home Opener (ARV $600). Within five (5) business days of the conclusion of the 2024 NFL Draft, the Grand Prize Winner will be chosen from the pool of Entrants who have completed the required steps as of the end of the Contest Periods. In the case of a tie, the Grand Prize Winner will be randomly selected from those Entrants who are tied for the lead as of April 28, 2024. Winning is subject to verification of eligibility. There will only be one Grand Prize awarded. Total ARV of the Grand Prize is $3,175.
Prize Winner and any companion traveling from Mexico must, at the time of the award of the Prize and at the time of travel, possess a current visa, passport or other such legal documentation necessary to travel between Mexico and the United States. The Grand Prize Winner and any companion are also responsible for complying with and adhering to any travel rules or restrictions related to COVID-19.
The Grand Prize trip is subject to availability and blackout dates. Travel must be round trip. Administrator will determine airline and flight itinerary in its sole discretion. No refund or compensation will be made in the event of the cancellation or delay of any flight. Travel and accommodations are subject to availability. Travel is subject to the terms and conditions set forth in these Rules, and those set forth by Administrator's airline carrier of choice as detailed in the passenger ticket contract.
All expenses and incidental travel costs not expressly stated in the package description above, including but not limited to, additional ground transportation, meals, incidentals, passenger tariffs or duties, airline fees, surcharges, airport fees, service charges or facility charges, personal charges at lodging, security fees, taxes or other expenses are the responsibility solely of the Grand Prize Winner.
The Grand Prize Winner's travel companion must be eighteen (18) years of age or older as of the date of departure, unless the travel companion is the child of the Grand Prize Winner or a sibling of the Grand Prize Winner with the appropriate parental permissions and releases and must travel on the same itinerary and at the same time as the Grand Prize Winner. Travel companion (or his/her parent or legal guardian, if applicable) must execute liability/publicity releases prior to issuance of travel documents. Travel restrictions, conditions and limitations may apply.
If, in the judgment of Administrator, air travel is not required due to the Grand Prize Winner's proximity to the Grand Prize event's location in Pittsburgh, PA, ground transportation to and from the Grand Prize Winner's home to the hotel site in Pittsburgh, PA will be substituted for round trip air travel at Administrator's sole discretion. Such ground transportation will include one trip to Pittsburgh, PA and one return trip to the Grand Prize Winner's home (i.e., daily round trip transportation will NOT be provided). Should the Grand Prize Winner elect to provide his/her own transportation to the Home Opener instead of accepting ground transportation by Administrator, or should the Grand Prize Winner elect not to stay in the hotel arranged for by Administrator, the Grand Prize Winner will not receive any reimbursement or other cash equivalent for the cost of such ground transportation or hotel.
Administrator will not replace any lost, mutilated, or stolen tickets, travel vouchers or certificates. Administrator is not responsible if the Home Opener is delayed, postponed or cancelled for any reason, in which event that portion of the Grand Prize is forfeited in its entirety and no substitution will be provided except as in Administrator's sole discretion. Actual value of the Grand Prize may vary based on airfare fluctuations and distance between departure and destination. The Grand Prize Winner will not receive the difference between actual value and ARV, if any. Odds of winning the Grand Prize depends on the number of eligible Entries received during the Contest Period(s).
NO TRANSFER OR ASSIGNMENT OF THE PRIZES OR GRAND PRIZE: The exact Prize and Grand Prize details shall be determined in the sole discretion of Administrator. The Prizes and Grand Prize are non-transferable and non-assignable, with no cash redemption except at Administrator's sole and absolute discretion. The odds of winning the Prizes and Grand Prize depend upon the number of eligible Entries received during the Contest Period(s). The Winners and Grand Prize Winner are fully responsible for the payment of any and all applicable federal, state and local taxes (including income and withholding taxes). All costs and expenses associated with the Winners' and Grand Prize Winner's participation in the Contests and/or acceptance of the Prizes and/or Grand Prize shall be the sole responsibility of the Winners and Grand Prize Winner unless otherwise provided in these Rules.
NOTIFICATION: Administrator will notify the potential Winners of the Prizes and Grand Prize at the telephone number and/or email address provided in the Entry. Administrator will make three (3) attempts to contact a potential Winner or Grand Prize Winner via telephone and/or email within 24 hours from the time a Winner is selected. If Administrator is unable to reach a potential Winner or Grand Prize Winner by telephone and/or email within such 24-hour period, then that potential Winner or Grand Prize Winner will be disqualified and an alternate potential Prize Winner's and/or Grand Prize Winner's Entry will be selected by Administrator in its sole discretion. At the time of Administrator's contact with a potential Winner or Grand Prize Winner, such potential Winner or Grand Prize Winner will be asked to provide his/her proof of age and a government-issued photo ID (or other such identification as determined by Administrator in its sole discretion). The notified eligible Winners and Grand Prize Winner shall be the only parties eligible to claim the Prizes and Grand Prize.
If any Winner or Grand Prize Winner declines a Prize or Grand Prize, fails to claim a Prize or Grand Prize, is unavailable for Prize or Grand Prize fulfillment, fails to abide by the Rules, or is ineligible, Administrator may select an alternate Winner or Grand Prize Winner from all remaining eligible Entries. Administrator is not responsible for and shall not be liable for unsuccessful efforts to notify a potential Winner or Grand Prize Winner of a Prize or Grand Prize.
PUBLICITY AND USE RELEASE: By submission of his or her Entry, an Entrant grants to Sponsor, Administrator and each of their designees, the right to publicize or use such Entrant's name, address (city and state of residence), voice, statements, photograph and/or other likeness, for advertising, promotional, trade and/or any other purpose in any media or format now known or hereafter devised, throughout the world, in perpetuity, without limitation, and without further compensation, consideration, permission or notification, unless prohibited by law. Entrant warrants that Sponsor, Administrator, and their respective designees may peacefully use Entrant's name, address (city and state of residence), voice, statements, photograph and/or other likeness and will hold Sponsor, Administrator, and their respective designees harmless and indemnify them from any claim or lawsuit to the contrary. Should the Entrant choose to exercise their right to revoke the authorization to use their image under Article 87 of the Federal Copyright Law of Mexico, then Entrant agrees to send a written notice to Steelers Nation Unite, 358 North Shore Drive, Suite 200, Pittsburgh, PA 15212, that allows for the identification of their image and to pay any and all damages and expenses associated with the removal of their image.
RELEASE/WAIVER OF LIABILITY: By participating in the Contest(s) and submitting an Entry and/or accepting a Prize or Grand Prize, each Entrant and/or Winner expressly agrees to (i) be bound by these Rules, including all Entry requirements, and (ii) waive, release and discharge any and all claims against the Sponsor Entities and each of their respective parents, affiliated companies, subsidiaries, officers, directors, members, managers, employees, agents, licensees, distributors, dealers, retailers, printers, representatives and advertising and promotion agencies, and any and all other companies associated with the Contest(s), and all of their respective officers, directors, employees, agents and representatives (collectively, "Released Parties") for any injury, damage or loss that may occur, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, arising out of or in any way related to the Contest(s), these Rules, Entrant's Entry, negligence of any of the Released Parties, any travel or activity related to the receipt or use of the Prizes or Grand Prize (or any portion thereof), or the acceptance, participation, use or misuse of the Prizes or Grand Prize (or any portion thereof).
PRIVACY POLICY: Information collected by Administrator in connection with the Contest(s) will be used in accordance with Administrator's Privacy Policy (http://www.steelers.com/legal/privacy-policy/) and these Rules. In the event of any discrepancy between Administrator's Privacy Policy and these Rules, Administrator's Privacy Policy shall control and govern.
GENERAL CONDITIONS: Released Parties are not responsible for late, incomplete, illegible, inaccurate, undelivered, or garbled Entries, interrupted or unavailable network or other connections; misdirected, blocked, or delayed notifications; printing, typographical or other errors appearing within these Rules, in any Contest-related advertisements or other materials; or any other errors, problems or difficulties of any kind relating to or in connection with the Contest(s), including, without limitation, errors or difficulties which may occur in connection with the administration of the Contest(s), the processing of Entries, or the announcement of the Prizes and/or Grand Prize or in any Contest-related materials. Released Parties are also not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, tampering, hacking, or by any equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Contests. Released Parties are not responsible for injury or damage to participants or to any person's computer, phone, tablet or other electronic device related to or resulting from participating in the Contest(s). Released Parties (i) make no warranty, guaranty or representation of any kind concerning the Prizes and/or Grand Prize, and (ii) disclaim any express or implied warranties. Sponsor's and/or Administrator's failure to enforce any term of these Rules shall not constitute a waiver of any such term. All disputes will be resolved under the internal substantive laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, without regard to its conflicts of laws principles, and the laws of the United States. All disputes arising out of or with respect to the Contest(s) or these Rules shall be heard exclusively in the courts, state and federal, located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA.
CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY ANY INDIVIDUAL, WHETHER OR NOT AN ENTRANT, TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEB SITE ASSOCIATED WITH THE CONTEST(S) OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE CONTEST(S) IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR AND ADMINISTRATOR RESERVE THE RIGHT TO PROSECUTE AND SEEK DAMAGES (INCLUDING ATTORNEYS' FEES) OR OTHER REMEDIES FROM ANY SUCH PERSON(S) RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY SUCH ATTEMPT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
Administrator reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel or suspend the Contest(s) at any time. In the event of cancellation, Administrator may elect to identify the Winner(s) or Grand Prize Winner and award the Prizes and/or Grand Prize by way of selecting a Winner or Grand Prize Winner from among all non-suspect, eligible Entries received up to the time of such cancellation. Administrator reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to modify these Rules. Administrator further reserves the right to revoke the Prizes and/or Grand Prize or remove an Entrant, Prize Winner or Grand Prize Winner, at any time, if the Entrant Prize Winner or Grand Prize Winner acts in a manner that is, in Administrator's sole discretion, offensive, harassing, threatening, repugnant, or violent at any time in connection with the Contest(s), the Prizes and/or the Grand Prize.
WINNERS' NAMES/OFFICIAL RULES REQUEST: To obtain the names of the Winners or Grand Prize Winner or a copy of these Official Rules, mail a request and a self-addressed stamped envelope to: Steelers Nation Unite, 358 North Shore Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15212. The Winners' names and Official Rules requests must be received by December 31, 2024.
