Updated with game date and time:

The Steelers are in the playoffs and they are no stranger to their opponent for the AFC Wild Card game, their AFC North rival Cincinnati Bengals.

The Steelers will play the Bengals on Saturday, Jan. 9 at 8:15 p.m. at Paul Brown Stadium, the second time the two teams will meet in postseason history. The game will be televised on CBS (KDKA-TV in Pittsburgh).

The Steelers are 33-23 overall in the postseason and have a 5-4 playoff record under Coach Mike Tomlin.

The Steelers split the home-away series with the Bengals this year, defeating Cincinnati 33-20 at Paul Brown Stadium on Dec. 13. Ben Roethlisberger completed 30 passes for 282 yards, while Le'Veon Bell had 76 yards rushing. The Steelers defense came up big with William Gay returning an interception 23 yards for a touchdown, and Stephon Tuitt and Rob Golden both adding interceptions.

The Steelers lost to the Bengals 16-10 at Heinz Field on Nov. 1, Roethlisberger's first game back after missing four due to an ankle injury.

In the postseason the Steelers are 1-0 vs. the Bengals, winning 31-17 in a Wild Card game on Jan. 8, 2006, en route to winning Super Bowl XL.

The combination of a 28-12 Steelers victory over the Cleveland Browns, and a New York Jets 22-17 loss to the Buffalo Bills, has earned the Steelers a playoff berth.
