The Steelers open up their 2016 preseason schedule on Friday, August 12 vs. the Detroit Lions at Heinz Field, with kickoff at 7 p.m.

The Steelers, and TV partner KDKA-TV, will provide coverage of the team's four game preseason slate. Bob Pompeani and former Steelers quarterback Charlie Batch will serve as play-by-play and color analyst, respectively, with Missi Matthews, Rich Walsh and Jeff Verszyla providing reports from the sideline during the team's preseason games.

A special 30 minute pregame show will air on KDKA-TV prior to both the team's August 26 game at the New Orleans Saints and September 1 game at the Carolina Panthers. The pregame show prior to the Saints contest will begin at 7:30 p.m., and the 30 minute pregame show starts at 7:00 p.m. prior to the Panthers game.
