Shaun Sarrett is in his seventh season with the Steelers and his first as assistant offensive line coach. Sarrett spent the previous six years as the team’s offensive assistant, primarily helping coach the offensive line, and assisting the offensive coaching staff with game preparation, video analysis and the scouting of opponents.
Pittsburgh’s offensive line allowed just 21 sacks in 2017 – tied for the third-fewest in the NFL on the season – and marked the second straight season the unit ranked the Top Three in the category among all NFL teams. Three Steelers offensive linemen – David DeCastro, Maurkice Pouncey and Alejandro Villanueva – were selected to the 2018 Pro Bowl. DeCastro also earned Associated Press First-Team honors.
