The Steelers will continue their variable pricing plan for the second consecutive year for all of their season tickets, it was announced today. The plan, which began prior to the 2014 season, will be effective for all tickets at Heinz Field this year.
The variable pricing concept, which is used by more than half of the NFL as well as the NCAA, NHL, NBA and MLB, allows Steelers season-ticket holders the best value for each game, including the best available pricing for their seat location.
This season, the Steelers have added a third Black Tier game to its 2015 schedule while reducing the price of preseason tickets. Overall, the price of season tickets will not be increased this year.
The variable ticketing price plan this year will consist of three separate categories:
- Black Tier – San Francisco (Week 2), Baltimore (Week 4) and Cleveland (Week 10).
- Gold Tier – Arizona (Week 6), Cincinnati (Week 8), Oakland (Week 9), Indianapolis (Week 13) and Denver (Week 15).
- Preseason – Green Bay (Week 2) and Carolina (Week 4).
All season-ticket holders received information on the continuation of the variable pricing ticket plan. Individual game tickets will be on sale in June, and details will be announced in the near future.
