*City of Pittsburgh Police Officers to collect for "Fallen Heroes" Fund
*PITTSBURGH– City of Pittsburgh Police Officers will collect donations for the "Pittsburgh Fallen Heroes Fund" at Heinz Field as part of the Pittsburgh Steelers annual Fan Blitz presented by Comcast on draft day, this Saturday, April 25.
The event, which runs from 1 – 8 p.m., will feature all six of the team's Super Bowl trophies on display to the public for the first time.
Two new additions this year are youth skill sessions (ages 6-14) on the field, conducted by Steelers players, and a Central Blood Bank blood drive. For the youth skill sessions, parents must register their children on a first-come, first-served basis on the field that day. Fans wanting to demonstrate that they "Bleed Black and Gold" can make a life-saving blood donation in the North Club Lounge. Fans who pre-register for the drive by calling (412) 209-7080 or visiting www.centralbloodbank.org will receive free admission into Fan Blitz.
Other activities for the day include field goal kicking on the playing field, current and former Steelers autograph sessions, mascot Steely McBeam and an area for Draft-nicks to participate in contests. All fans can watch the draft excitement unfold on the Daktronics scoreboard and on large screen televisions throughout Heinz Field while participating in numerous interactive activities.
