Steelers Appearance on Thursday Night Football To Benefit Local School Through Online Challenge

Leading up to the Thursday night matchup against the Tennessee Titans on Thursday night, Steelers fans can vote to help Pittsburgh Banksville Elementary School receive NFL Play 60 funding for youth health and fitness projects. This is a part of the NFL Play 60 Showdown.

Steelers fans can help Pittsburgh's local elementary school by visiting and voting for Banksville Elementary School. Fans may vote one time each hour until Thursday at 11:59 p.m. ET.

The students from Banksville Elementary School are in need of chair pockets and socks to retrieve materials. The pockets will allow for uninterrupted instructional time which is crucial for young students.

The program, which was launched this year by the NFL in partnership with, features two deserving youth health and fitness projects from the cities of the two teams competing on Thursday Night Football. The winning project will be funded 100 percent by NFL Play 60, and the other will receive funding of 50 percent.

This week, Banksville Elementary School will be competing against Kirkpatrick Enhanced Option Es in Nashville, Tenn.
