Steelers announce community relations initiatives

The Pittsburgh Steelers' strong commitment to the Western Pennsylvania community, a fabric of the organization that dates back to 1933 when Arthur J. Rooney, Sr., founded the team, continues in 2019 as the team announced several of its longstanding community relations programs for the season.

Below is a look at several of the team's community relations events planned for 2019 that are open to the public and its corresponding beneficiary, registration and/or ticket required:

Ussie Games: Saturday, July 20th at George Cupples Stadium

  • Police officers from all six Pittsburgh Police Zones will team up with members of their respective communities and compete in a city-wide field day challenge.

Third Annual Charity Walk: Saturday, July 27th at Saint Vincent College, Mel Blount honorary chair

  • The Chuck Noll Foundation for Brain Injury Research

Latrobe Community Days

  • Wednesday, July 31 – 9:00 am – 12:00 pm – Cardinal Park, Latrobe, PA
  • Thursday, August 1 – 9:00 am – 12:00 pm – Legion Keener Park, Latrobe, PA
  • Friday, August 2 – 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm – Westmoreland County Food Bank, Delmont, PA

Latrobe, PA has served as the home of Steelers Nation for over five decades. 2019 marks the 54th anniversary of Steelers Training Camp at Saint Vincent College in Latrobe, PA. To give back in the community, we have partnered with the City of Latrobe and the Westmoreland County Food Bank to establish various volunteer projects.
