Steelers defensive end Brett Keisel and center Maurkice Pouncey were named honorary co-captains of the team's annual fashion show and top charitable fundraiser.
Steelers Style 2012: Football/FANS/Fashion will take place on Friday, October 5, at 6 p.m. in the East Club at Heinz Field. Keisel and Pouncey will be joined by many of their teammates as Steelers players and their families model fashions from American Eagle Outfitters, Nike, Nordstrom and etcetera, along with Tuxedo Junction providing tuxedos for the Steelers rookies.
"We are all really excited to get out there and strut our stuff," said Keisel. "Fans get to see us show off our fashion as players, and it's a great way for them to interact with us. It's such a fun time for our team. We even give out an award to the player who has the best style."
"It's such a great opportunity for not only me but for my teammates," said Pouncey. "I have to step it up but we all expect to put on a great performance for everyone that comes out to support us. We expect a great turnout."
Steelers Style 2012: Football/FANS/Fashion is presented by American Eagle Outfitters and Nike. Proceeds benefit the UPMC Thomas E. Starzl Transplantation Institute, the UPMC Sports Medicine Concussion Center and the Cancer Caring Center.
