Steelers headed to AFC Championship Game

The Steelers have advanced to the AFC Championship Game with the win over the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday.

The Steelers will play the New England Patriots on Sunday, January 22 at Gillette Stadium. Kickoff for the game is set for 6:40 p.m. ET. The game will be televised on CBS (KDKA-TV locally).

The Steelers are the AFC's No. 3 seed, while the Patriots are the No. 1 seed and coming off a win over the Houston Texans.

This will be the second time this season the two teams will meet, with the Steelers losing to the Patriots, 27-16, in Week 7 of the season.

Ben Roethlisberger missed the game with a left knee injury, and Landry Jones completed 29 of 47 passes for 281 yards, one touchdown and one interception. Antonio Brown had seven receptions for 106 yards, while Le'Veon Bell wasn't able to crack the 100-yard rushing mark, finishing with 81 yards.

The Patriots moved the ball on the ground with LeGarrette Blount racking up 127 yards and two touchdowns. Tom Brady threw for 222 yards and added two touchdown passes.

The two franchises have played four times in the postseason, with the Patriots holding the edge winning three games, while the Steelers won just once.
