PRO (85-33/1-0): Signed a two-year contract with the Steelers as an unrestricted free agent (from N.Y. Giants) on March 20, 2017…signed by the Giants on October 11, 2016…released by the Los Angeles Rams on October 8, 2016…signed a three-year contract with the Rams as an unrestricted free agent (from Tennessee) on March 15, 2016…placed on the Titans’ Reserve/Injured List due to a foot injury on December 18, 2013…originally drafted by the Titans in the fourth round (115th overall) in the 2012 NFL Draft.

2017 (13-4/0-0):

  • 11/12 at Indianapolis: Saw a significant increase in playing time on defense after an injury to Joe Haden.
  • 11/16 vs. Tennessee: Made the 30th start of his NFL regular-season career and first with the Steelers...picked off Tennessee QB Marcus Mariota in the second quarter to mark his first interception with the Steelers and third of his NFL career.

2015 (16-15) (TEN): Played in all 16 regular-season games with a career-high 15 starts…set single-season career-highs in tackles (58), interceptions (2, one of which was returned 26 yards for a score) and pass breakups (8)…added two special teams tackles (one, 10/11 vs. Buffalo and 10/18 vs. Miami).

  • 9/13 at Tampa Bay: Intercepted the first pass of his career and returned it 26 yards for a touchdown.
  • 10/18 at Miami: Recorded the second interception of his career.

2014 (13-6) (TEN): Saw action in 13 games with six starts on the year…inactive due to a knee injury 10/12 vs. Jacksonville, 10/19 at Washington and 10/26 vs. Houston…notched the first sack of his career (9/7 at Kansas City)...added three special teams tackles (one, 9/28 at Indianapolis, 10/5 vs. Cleveland and 12/28 vs. Indianapolis)…also recorded his first career fumble recovery on special teams 9/7 at Kansas City.

2013 (14-3) (TEN): Played in 14 games with three starts…recorded a single-season career-high two fumbles on defense…totaled four special teams tackles (one, 9/8 at Pittsburgh, 9/15 at Houston, 9/29 vs. N.Y. Jets and 11/14 vs. Indianapolis)…placed on the team’s Reserve/Injured list due to a foot injury on December 18, and missed the final two weeks of the regular season.

  • 10/6 vs. Kansas City: Recorded the first fumble recovery of his career on defense.

2012 (16-3) (TEN): Played in every regular-season contest with three starts in his rookie season…added a single-season career-high six special teams tackles (one, 9/9 vs. New England, 10/7 at Minnesota, 10/11 vs. Pittsburgh, 10/21 at Buffalo, 10/28 vs. Indianapolis and 12/17 at N.Y. Jets).

COLLEGE: In four seasons at Clemson (2008-11), appeared in 52 games with 17 starts…totaled 87 tackles, 2.0 TFLs, four interceptions, two quarterback pressures and 18 pass breakups...had one interception in each of his four seasons…as a senior in 2011, recorded single-season career-highs in tackles (40) and pass breakups (13)…credited with 993 snaps as a senior, which set a then school record for a defensive player...majored in communications studies.

PERSONAL: Attended Dobyns-Bennett (Kingsport, Tenn.) High School…named Team MVP as a senior, after totaling four interceptions as a defensive back and 48 receptions for 915 yards with 14 touchdowns as a wide receiver...also played basketball for four years and was a starting guard for two years...ran multiple events in track, including the 100-meter, 200, 100 relay and 200 relay.
