  • 9/28 vs. Tampa Bay: Saw action on defense as the nickel cornerback…totaled one tackle and one pass breakup.
  • 10/5 at Jacksonville: Recorded his first interception as a Steeler and the sixth of his NFL career…returned it 22 yards for a score…marked his second career interception returned for a touchdown (10/23/11 at Tennessee).
  • 10/20 vs. Houston: Started his first career contest as a Steeler.
  • 11/2 vs. Baltimore: Recorded his first career fumble recovery that was forced by LB Arthur Moats.
  • 11/30 vs. New Orleans: Left the game in the second quarter with a hamstring injury and did not return.
  • 12/28 vs. Cincinnati: Recorded two interceptions, the first multi-interception game of his career…is the first Steeler since CB Cortez Allen to record multiple interceptions in a game since 12/23/12 vs. Cincinnati and the fifth Steeler since 1991 to record two interceptions in the first half.      

2013 (16-4): Brice McCain played in all 16 games for the second time in his career and made a career-high four starts…set a new career high with 30 total tackles (23 solo)…registered one interception to go along with seven passes defensed…recorded at least three tackles in five of the season’s final six games, including nine total tackles in the final two games of the regular season…added four special teams tackles.

  • 11/3 vs. Indianapolis: Registered one pass defensed for the second straight game.
  • 11/24 vs. Jacksonville: Made his first start of the season…tallied three solo tackles and one pass defensed.
  • 12/1 vs. New England: Finished with three solo tackles.
  • 12/5 at Jacksonville: Registered four total tackles (three solo)…marked the third straight game with at least three tackles.
  • 12/22 vs. Denver: Started and registered four solo tackles and two passes defensed.
  • 12/29 at Tennessee: Started and made five solo tackles…registered two passes defensed for the second straight week

2012 (12-2): Appeared in 12 contests, starting two…placed on the Reserve/Injured; Designated for Return List with a foot injury on December 4, missing the final four regular-season games and both postseason contests…finished the season with 23 total tackles (20 solo), one interception, eight passes defensed and 0.5 sacks…recorded at least two tackles in seven straight games from 10/8-11/22…also registered five special teams tackles.

2011 (16-0/2-1): Appeared in all 16 games and both postseason contests…finished the regular season with 25 total tackles, including a career-high 24 solo stops…registered a career-high two interceptions, one of which he returned for his first career touchdown…also recorded a career-best 13 passes defensed…registered two or more passes defensed in a game four times, including a career-high three passes defensed in the regular-season finale against Tennessee…added three special teams tackles.

  • 9/18 at Miami: Recorded two passes defensed and one special teams tackle.
  • 10/2 vs. Pittsburgh: Finished the game with three solo tackles.
  • 10/23 at Tennessee: Intercepted a Matt Hasselbeck pass and returned it 38 yards for his first career defensive touchdown…also contributed three solo tackles and one pass defensed.
  • 11/13 at Tampa Bay: Intercepted his second pass of the season and returned it 10 yards to set-up a field goal…also registered two passes defensed.
  • 11/27 at Jacksonville: Finished with two solo tackles…broke-up a pass on fourth down to help seal the win.
  • 12/22 at Indianapolis: Matched a career-high and was second on the team with seven total tackles (six solo)…registered two passes defensed.
  • 1/1 vs. Tennessee: Recorded a career-best three passes defensed to go along with two solo tackles.
  • AFC Wild Card Game 1/7 vs. Cincinnati: Started his postseason debut…registered two passes defensed.

2010 (12-3): Saw action in 12 games and made three starts…finished the season with 22 tackles (17 solo) and two passes defensed…inactive for four contests.

COLLEGE: Played in 49 games and made 39 starts in four seasons at Utah…earned all-Mountain West Conference honors as a defensive back in (2007-08) and as a kick returner (2006)…finished his career with 103 total tackles…his 21 career passes defensed are tied for sixth in school history…returned 37 kickoffs (ninth in school history) in his career for 847 yards (11th in school history)…economics major. 2008: Started all 13 games at cornerback and earned first-team all-conference honors…finished the season with 35 tackles, five passes defensed and one interception. 2007: Started all 13 games and earned second-team all-MWC honors…finished the season with 11 passes defensed, which ranked third in the conference and is tied for fifth-best in a single-season in school history…recorded 28 tackles, one interception and one forced fumble…registered four passes defensed against New Mexico, which tied the school’s single-game record. 2006: Played in 13 games and made 12 starts…honorable mention all-conference honors as a kick returner…led the team with five passes defensed…finished the season with 28 tackles…averaged 22.4 yards per kick return, which ranked fourth in the conference. 2005: Appeared in 10 games as a true freshman and made one start…finished the season with 12 total tackles…earned academic all-MWC honors.

PERSONAL: Graduate of Terrell High School (Terrell, Texas)…earned all-state and all-area honors…named all-district as a running back and a defensive back…named county and team MVP…also lettered in basketball and track, and was part of a 400-meter relay team that finished second in the state…son of Darrell Brockins and Tammie McCain.
