PRO (93-42/3-0): Agreed to terms with the Steelers on a three-year contract on March 9, 2015…signed a one-year contract with the Steelers as an unrestricted free agent (from Buffalo) on March 24, 2014…named the Bills’ Walter Payton Man of the Year and was the recipient of the Bills’ Ed Block Courage Award in 2013…placed on the Bills’ Reserve/Injured List on December 18, 2012, due to an ankle injury…originally drafted by the Bills in the sixth round (178th overall) of the 2010 NFL Draft.

  • 11/15 vs. Cleveland: Split a sack with LB Jarvis Jones…recovered a fumble on Cleveland’s first play of the game.
  • 12/6 vs. Indianapolis: Sacked QB Charlie Whitehurst for an eight-yard loss…added his first career pass breakup.

2014 (16-9/1-0) (PIT): Saw action in all 16 games with nine starts during the regular season…made his postseason debut vs. Baltimore in the AFC Wild Card Game…set a career-high with 4.0 sacks in the regular season.

  • 12/7 at Cincinnati: Registered his first career multi-sack game…also forced one fumble and recorded one fumble recovery…the fumble recovery led to a Steelers’ go-ahead touchdown.
2013 (16-12) (BUF): Set a career-high with 12 starts in 16 games played…recorded a career-best 48 tackles…added six special teams stops (two, 10/13 vs. Cincinnati, and one, 9/8 vs. New England, 11/10 at Pittsburgh, 11/17 vs. N.Y. Jets and 12/1 vs. Atlanta).
  • 9/15 vs. Carolina: Totaled a career-high and season-high eight tackles to go along with one QB pressure.
  • 9/29 vs. Baltimore: Was part of a defense that held the Ravens to 24 rushing yards and zero rushing first downs, which tied a single-game team record for fewest first downs allowed.
  • 10/20 vs. Miami: Played in his 50th career contest.

2012 (14-4) (BUF): Saw action in 14 contests with four starts…placed on the Bills’ Reserve/Injured List on December 18 due to an ankle injury and missed the remainder of the season…totaled 18 tackles on defense and seven tackles on special teams (two, 11/15 vs. Miami and 12/9 vs. St. Louis, and one, 9/16 vs. Kansas City, 10/21 vs. Tennessee and 11/25 at Indianapolis).

2011 (14-0) (BUF): Played in 14 games…inactive 9/11 at Kansas City and 9/18 vs. Oakland…totaled 2.5 sacks, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery…added nine special teams tackles (two, 10/9 vs. Philadelphia, 12/11 at San Diego and 12/24 at Denver, and one, 9/25 vs. New England, 10/16 at N.Y. 2010 (15-4) (BUF): Saw action in 15 games, starting the final four games of the season…inactive 10/10 vs. Jacksonville due to an elbow injury…recorded 2.5 sacks, to go along with one forced fumble…also had a career-high 10 tackles on special teams (two, 9/19 at Green Bay, 11/7 vs. Chicago, 11/14 vs. Detroit, and one, 9/26 at New England, 11/28 vs. Pittsburgh, 12/5 at Minnesota and 12/12 vs. Cleveland).

  • 9/12 vs. Miami: Made his NFL debut seeing action on special teams.
  • 10/24 at Baltimore: Recorded his first career half-sack on QB Joe Flacco.
  • 12/5 at Minnesota: Knocked down QB Brett Favre on the third play of the game, which led to an interception by Bills’ CB Drayton Florence.
  • 12/12 vs. Cleveland: Made his first career start…recorded a strip sack in the fourth quarter on QB Jake Delhomme…marked his first career full sack and first career forced fumble.
  • 12/19 at Miami: Recorded a sack on QB Chad Henne…became the first Bills’ rookie to record full sacks in back-to-back games since Jeff Wright in 1988.
COLLEGE: Started 29-of-49 games at James Madison (2006-2009)…recorded 208 tackles, 48.5 TFLs and 29.0 sacks, which at the time were the second-most sacks in school history…in 2009, earned first-team all-conference accolades, received the Buck Buchanan Award, given annually to the top defensive player in the FCS, and was named James Madison’s Athlete of the Year and the CAA Defensive Player of the Year...set a single-season school record in 2009 by recording 23.5 TFLs, which also led the nation…he earned third-team All-CAA and second-team all-state honors by the Virginia Sports Information Directors Association in 2008…majored in political science.
