COLLEGE: Alan Baxter played in 52 career games, making 24 starts…finished his career with 152 tackles (30.5 for loss) and is tied for seventh in school history with 16 career sacks...finance major. 2012: First-team All-MAC selection…started every game at defensive end and led the Huskies with 9.5 sacks and 11.5 TFL…his 9.5 sacks ranked him fourth in the Mid-American Conference…finished the season with a career-high 60 tackles, which were the fifth-best total on the team…recorded at least six tackles in a game three times during his senior campaign…made a career-high eight tackles and a pass breakup at Western Michigan on 10/27…finished with seven tackles and a sack vs. Army on 9/15...became the first NIU player since 2001 and just the second all-time to be named a CoSIDA Academic All-American…also an Academic All-MAC honoree. 2011: Appeared in 13 games, starting 10 at defensive end…finished the season with 48 tackles, 5.5 sacks and 12.5 TFL…his sacks and TFL totals were tied for tops on the team…recorded a tackle in 12 of 13 games and one or more TFL in nine games…tied a then career-high with seven tackles in the GoDaddy.com Bowl win over Arkansas State on 1/8…recorded five tackles and a quarterback hurry in the MAC Championship game vs. Ohio on 12/2…led all Huskies defensive linemen with seven tackles at Toledo on 11/1…finished with 2.5 TFL and 1.5 sacks at Kansas on 9/10…set a season high with seven tackles (2.5 for loss), a forced fumble and a fumble recovery against Army on 9/3…won NIU Defensive Linemen of the Week honors for his performance in the Army contest. 2010: Appeared in 12 games as a backup defensive end…finished the season with 12 tackles (4.5 for loss)…recorded a tackle in eight contests...registered one tackle and 0.5 sack in the MAC Championship game against Miami (OH) on 12/3…tied a then career-high with three tackles at Iowa State on 9/2. 2009: Saw action in all 13 games at defensive end, registering 22 tackles (two for loss)…recorded at least one tackle in 11 games…registered his first career sack at Miami (OH) on 10/24…finished with a season-high three tackles in games against Purdue (9/19) and Idaho (9/26)…recorded two tackles in his collegiate debut against Wisconsin on 9/5.
