2014 (14-7/1-1) (DEN): Played in 14 games with a career-high seven starts during the regular season…was inactive due to an ankle injury 10/23 vs. San Diego and 11/2 at New England…recorded single regular-season career-highs in tackles (22) and sacks (0.5), and he tied his single regular-season career-high with 10 special teams tackles (three, 9/21 at Seattle, two, 10/12 at N.Y. Jets, 11/30 at Kansas City and 12/14 at San Diego, and one, 9/14 vs. Kansas City)…added his first career fumble recovery on special teams 10/12 at N.Y. Jets…his first career half-sack came 12/7 vs. Buffalo…started his first postseason contest in the AFC Divisional Playoff 1/11 vs. Indianapolis, where he led the team with six tackles on defense and one tackle on special teams.

2013 (16-0/3-0) (DEN): Saw action in all 16 regular-season games for the first time in his career…totaled seven special teams tackles during the regular season (three, 9/15 at N.Y. 2012 (11-0/1-0) (DEN): Played in 11 games as a rookie…was inactive for five contests…tied for the team lead with a single regular-season career-high 10 special teams tackles (three, 12/16 at Baltimore, two, 12/6 at Oakland and 12/30 vs. Kansas City, and one, 11/4 at Cincinnati, 11/25 at Kansas City and 12/2 vs. Tampa Bay)…became the third Broncos’ rookie since 1994 to lead or tie for the team lead in special teams tackles during a single regular season…saw action in the lone postseason contest, recording one special teams tackle in the AFC Divisional Playoff 1/12 vs. Baltimore.

COLLEGE: Received an invitation to walk-on at Kansas, and played for the Jayhawks from 2008-11…finished his career with 229 tackles, 6.5 TFLs and 2.0 sacks…led the team in tackles his final two seasons…as a senior, was named a team caption, and he led the Big 12 with 124 tackles, while earning Phil Steele’s Midseason All-Big 12 third team honors…majored in economics with a minor in business…prior to playing at Kansas, prepped at Wyoming Seminary (Kingston, Pa.) in 2006…midway through the season, suffered a serious left knee injury that left his football career in doubt.

PERSONAL: Attended Strath Haven High School (Wallingford, Pa.)…led the state of Pennsylvania with 123 tackles as a senior…earned all-state and all-county honors, while also being named team defensive MVP as a senior…also competed in basketball and track…in 2014, was honored with the Denver Broncos Community Champion Award…started the Faith Motivated Foundation in 2015…son of Steven Johnson and Jean Wootson.
