COLLEGE: Transferred to Slippery Rock University after beginning his career at Hofstra…played in 37 career games at SRU…registered 146 tackles, two forced fumbles, two interceptions, and scored two touchdowns for The Rock...also broke-up 16 passes. 2011: Started all seven games played...ended season with 23 tackles (14 solo/nine assisted), one interception and two pass break-ups...made a season-high seven tackles at Seton Hill...intercepted one pass at Edinboro. 2010: Started 11 games and was named a second-team All-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference-Western Division performer…ranked fourth on the team with 66 total tackles (38 solo and 28 assisted)…led Slippery Rock with two fumble recoveries and two forced fumbles…had a team-high eight pass break-ups…also had 2.5 tackles for loss…recorded two tackles for a loss against West Chester in Week 3…also forced a fumble vs. the Golden Rams…returned his second fumble recovery of the season for a 32-yard touchdown against Mercyhurst in Week 9. 2009: Transferred to Slippery Rock University (PA)…played in 10 of 11 games, starting nine...ranked fifth on the team in total tackles with 45 (27 solo)...had one tackle for loss...intercepted a pass in season finale at East Stroudsburg (no return yards)...broke up five other passes...blocked two kicks. 2008: Played in nine games for Hofstra in 2008…made five solo and seven assisted tackles...also broke up one pass. 2007: Redshirted at Hofstra University.

PERSONAL: Attended Penn Hills High School (Pittsburgh, Pa.)…All-Big East Conference and Pittsburgh Post-Gazette “Fabulous 22” selection after senior season...also selected to play in the PSFCA East/West All-Star Game...recorded 68 tackles, including 48 solo stops, and added four interceptions and two forced fumbles in final scholastic season…lettered four seasons of football...Son of Andre and Sherri Freeman…Full Name: Andre Kyle Freeman.
