The Terrible Towel Twirl will be led by representatives of the 2016 WPIAL Football Championship teams.

Drumlines from the 2016 WPIAL Football Championship teams will perform on the field with the Pittsburgh Steeline.

1st-IN-GOAL

The 1st-IN-GOAL promotion, sponsored by Steelers Nation Unite, will give the first 25,000 fans who enter Heinz Field on Saturday, August 26 a scratch and win card, with the opportunity to win exclusive prizes from the team.

Game Day Entertainment

  • National Anthem: Chelsea Field. Chelsea is no stranger to the field. Singing the National Anthem over 50 times at major sporting events since she was 10 years old. Chelsea's 2010 Single "Things I should've said" hit billboards top 100 reaching 58 on the charts. She was featured in People Country magazine, Fox News, and her music video on CMT and MTV. Chelsea has been the opening act for the likes of Jason Aldean, Deirks Bentley, Miranda Lambert, Luke Bryan and Blake Shelton to name a few. This is the 2nd time for Chelsea to grace Heinz Field singing the National Anthem for the Pittsburgh Steelers and she couldn't be happier to be back.
  • Halftime: United Way Field Goal Kicking Contest; Youth Football Game featuring West Allegheny vs. North Allegheny.

Counterfeit Tickets

The Steelers and Heinz Field management are warning fans to watch out for counterfeit tickets when attempting to make a purchase from scalpers. Fans looking to purchase tickets are encouraged to visit NFL Ticket Exchange to buy-and-sell verified tickets from other fans or visit Steelers Ticket Exchange to buy-and-sell verified tickets from other Steelers fans. Fans are advised not to purchase paper tickets printed through the TicketExchange service from scalpers because of the possibility of counterfeiting.

Alternate Routes to the Game

  • I-279 NB - When Exit 1B becomes heavily congested, use N. Shore Alternate Route Exit 1D (Follow signage)
  • I-279 SB - When Exit 1B becomes heavily congested, use N. Shore Alternate Route Exit 2B (Follow signage)

Exiting Advice

  • I-279 Access - After the game, quick access to I-279 North is provided via the HOV entrances at Reedsdale Street & Mazeroski Way and Lacock Street & Anderson Street.
  • Clemente Bridge – Both lanes on the bridge will head towards the City after the game, the right lane must turn right. Please use the Rachel Carson (9th St.) Bridge to avoid congestion on Clemente Bridge.

Construction Updates and Detours

  • Rte 65 – All lanes will be open for the game.
  • 7th Street Bridge - CLOSED. Follow posted detour to 9th Street Bridge.
  • I-279 HOV - Currently closed for construction. Follow posted detour routes. Southbound right lane closures from Venture St. to East St.
  • Liberty Bridge - Closed all weekend.
  • Liberty Tunnel - Outbound direction is closed, but inbound tunnel will be open.
  • I-376 East (Parkway East) - There will be no outbound lane closures between the Oakland and Greenfield / Squirrel Hill due to Greenfield Bridge construction on game day.

Uber Drop-Off/Pick-Up Area

Uber will be helping fans arrive and depart from Heinz Field for all Steelers home games this season. The designated Uber Drop-off/Pick-up Area is located along Reedsdale Street heading eastbound, between Art Rooney Avenue and Tony Dorsett Drive (Follow Signage).

50/50 Raffle

There will be 50/50 raffle kiosks and personnel moving throughout the stadium selling tickets at various locations around Heinz Field. 50/50 Raffle ticket prices are:

  • 3 for $5
  • 10 for $10
  • 40 for $20

Raffle tickets are available for purchase when the gates open (2 hours before kickoff) until the end of the 3rd quarter.
