Le'Veon Bell had a 100-yard game on the ground, and he also was the team's No. 2 receiver.

The Steelers never seem to be able to play a game against New England with their big three on offense – Ben Roethlisberger, Le’Veon Bell, and Antonio Brown – all healthy, and so it was once again today at Heinz Field. This time it was Brown leaving early in the second quarter with an calf injury that would require a trip to the hospital, and once again the Steelers were left trying to pick up the slack created by the loss of one of their most significant players.

There were a few guys who stepped up, but maybe none more than Le’Veon Bell, who ended up as the game’s leading rusher with 117 yards on 24 carries (4.9 average) and a 3-yard touchdown run, and he also was the No. 2 receiver with five catches for another 48 yards.

Bell ended up with 29 touches for 165 yards from scrimmage and one of the Steelers’ three touchdowns. Bell is the Steelers Digest Player of the Week.

Also considered were Smith-Schuster, who led the team with six catches for 114 yards, including a dramatic 69-yard catch-and-run that set up the bizarre game-ending sequence; Vince Williams, who had three tackles and an interception; Bud Dupree, who had one of the team’s two sacks; Cam Heyward, who had a sack, two hits on Brady, and a pass defensed; and Chris Boswell, who kicked a 51-yard field goal, which made him 4-for-4 on field goal attempts from 50-yards-and-longer so far this season.
