Head Coach Mike Tomlin: The weather cooperated with us today. We were able to get a good practice in, working in some different situations (such as) moving the ball in the red zone. (We’re) excited about the opportunity to work against Buffalo coming here tomorrow. No major injury news. A couple guys weren’t able to finish due to a variety of apparently minor things.
It is what it is right now. He’s on that list and his status will remain there until we hear otherwise. Right now we’re working with Brad, and I like the work that he’s doing.
Are you looking to bring in another punter?
Not as we stand here right now, no. Not that I’m opposed to it but not as we stand here right now.
What happened with Williams’ concussion?
I didn’t see it. We’ll evaluate him and let you know.
He’s been a hard-working and attentive young guy. I told him today, like I told a lot of those other guys, we call them for the third defense. In a couple weeks there will be no third defense. If you’re on the third defense you better make a move.
He made a couple plays today but we know he’s capable of that. I’m looking for him to grow in all areas and have the type of detail in his work where we can rely upon him. Like a lot of young guys he’s moving toward that. (He’s) not at a quick enough pace for us (and) not at a quick enough pace for him, so we’ll continue to work.
