Several Steelers have ties to the Ravens and the Baltimore area.


Steelers with direct ties to the Ravens and Baltimore/Maryland include LB James Harrison, who signed with the Ravens after the 2003 NFL season and was allocated by Baltimore to the NFL Europe League in 2004. RB Isaac Redman played at Bowie State.

Ravens with ties to the Steelers or Western Pa. include QB Joe Flacco, who started his collegiate career at Pitt before transferring to Delaware. QB Marc Bulger grew up in Pittsburgh and played at Central Catholic High and then West Virginia. Strength and conditioning coach Bob Rogucki coached at Penn State (1981), while assistant strength and conditioning coach John Dunn played at Penn State (1974-77) and later coached for the Nittany Lions (1978). Wide receivers coach Jim Hostler was born in Pittsburgh

and played (1986-89) and coached (1990-92, 94-99) at IUP.

• Needs 38 yards rushing to post his second straight 1,000-yard rushing season. He currently has 962 yards rushing on the season and totaled a career-best 1,108 rushing yards in 2009.


WR Mike Wallace

• Needs 208 yards receiving to post his first career 1,000-yard season. He has already surpassed last season’s total of 756 receiving yards as he now has 792 yards in 2010.

• Needs five receiving touchdowns to break the team’s single-season record, which is 12 held by Hines Ward (2002), Louis Lipps (1985) and Buddy Dial (1961).

• Needs receptions to set a career high for catches in a season. He currently has 36 after finishing with 39 as a rookie in 2009.

LB James Harrison

• Needs 1.5 sacks to reach 50 for his career, becoming just the seventh player in team history to total at least 50 career sacks.

• Needs one forced fumble to match his career high of seven and to tie the team record for forced fumbles in a season, which he currently shares with Greg Lloyd (1994). Harrison had seven in 2008 and has forced six in 2010.
