“Let’s Tackle Recycling” at every 2011 Steelers home game!
Throughout the season the Pennsylvania Resources Council (PRC) and its partners will collect recyclables at tailgate parties outside Heinz Field.
The “Let’s Tackle Recycling” campaign – funded by the Alcoa Foundation – will gather aluminum cans, glass containers, and plastic bottles and cups beginning on September 18 and continuing at every regular season home game. The effort will include distributing blue plastic bags to those entering six designated parking lots located along General Robinson Street.
During the campaign’s launch late in the 2010 season, fans recycled 8 TONS of material at the final five games. “Let’s Tackle Recycling” is sponsored by PRC and the Alcoa Foundation in partnership with Alco Parking, City of Pittsburgh Environmental Services, Greenstar Recycling, Heinz Field and the Sports & Exhibition Authority.
