A new multi-year partnership between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the local Ford dealer group kicked off at Sunday’s Breast Cancer Awareness game versus the Tennessee Titans.
As its first move as the “Official Truck of the Pittsburgh Steelers,” Ford representatives presented a $10,000 check to the Susan G. Komen Foundation and presented a 2011 Warriors in Pink Quilt to UPMC Cancer Centers.
“The Steelers are pleased to announce our partnership with a great American Company, Ford,” Steelers President Art Rooney II said. “Ford's participation in our Ultimate Game Day Experience will add even more excitement to game days at Heinz Field."
“Our F-150 is Pittsburgh’s favorite and best-selling truck, so it only makes sense to align that enthusiasm with that of our favorite hometown team,” said Dan Taylor, owner of Jerry Taylor Ford and chairman of the Neighborhood Ford Store. “The Steelers are an ideal partner for us, and we look forward to many years of supporting the team and fans.”
As part of that partnership, the local Ford dealer group, known collectively in their advertising as the Neighborhood Ford Store, is offering an Ultimate Fan Game Day Experience for one lucky winner at each of its 82 dealerships. Guests can enter for the chance to win tickets and prizes by filling out an entry form at their local Ford store. Full contest rules, details and a dealership locator can be found at NeighborhoodFordStore.com/UltimateFan. On October 24, one winner will be drawn from each dealership to win two tickets to the Steelers’ Dec. 4 or Dec. 8 game, along with two pre-game on-field passes and a special on-field photo opportunity.
“We are thrilled to be able to share the excitement and benefits of this partnership with our customers by extending the Ultimate Fan Game Day Experience into each of the communities we serve,” said Taylor.
Also included as part of the official partnership is signage throughout the stadium, including the Ford “Drive of the Game” on the DAKTRONICS board, featuring the team’s most impressive offensive drives of the game.
